:udidnt:G.U.Y. #1

that means there sure are some hardcore fans:legend:

Ikr? They had a voting system for the fans to vote for their favorite songs and they would have a countdown every night and Applause was #1 everyday. When it was March 2014, I was listening to the countdown as usual and when it got to #2, I was guessing some other hits to take the #1 spot and then I hear the G.U.Y. intro (but without the s-xual desire lyrics of course, it's Malaysia) I was jumping up and down on my bed

I mean even Marry the Night was #1 here back in 2011...

Malaysia is so close to Singapore so I'm not really worried for the fans there. It's just sad that the government does this, especially considering there are very large minorities of buddhists, christians, etc. and most Malaysians themselves seem to be very tolerant towards other religions.

In Kuala Lumpur muslims only make up for 46% of the population... So I don't really understand it.

It's a Muslim country officially speaking. Even though Malaysia is close to Singapore, we still have to buy airplane tickets, rent hotel rooms and also the actual Gaga ticket to see Gaga live though. I come from quite a wealthy family so I can afford these, plus I have really amazing parents, my mom would help me in achieving this if I really want to go. But not everybody can afford this nor do they have the time to do all these. Plus, how often does Gaga visit Singapore once?

For some reason, I wasn't listening to Gaga during 2012 (due to illuminati rumors, I actually bought that and I was very religious back then) so I missed out the chance to see the Born This Way Ball. Kinda regret it now. :thetea:

I feel so bad for their fans.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Yeah, I get that it's a muslim country. It's so sad though. Malaysia (from when I went there) didn't really seem that conservative. I heard Madonna (Girl Gone Wild) and Nicki Minaj (Pound the Alarm, Starships, Beauty and a Beast) quite a lot too..

She's been banned for a long time. Really sad for fans in this country of any artist, really. Avril Lavigne is one of the few popstars who can still get a gig there as she's not as raunchy as most. Really, this is a bad economic decision and the arenas in Malaysia must have a lot of days where they're empty, unless there's a lot of sport going on. At least Singapore is literally right next door and Gaga usually does a few arena gigs there, so there is plenty of room if they want to travel there, but not everyone can afford to. But again, Gaga is one of the few artists who tours Asia properly (well, except for the artRave), so for fans of other artists, they might have to travel to Japan or South Korea, which is some of the few Asian countries most artists tour in, if ever. I've always found it pretty ironic that such fundamentalist religious types protest this so-called immoral stuff. If they find it so immoral, why do they know this artist is coming to perform? They must be checking up on this immoral artist, maybe even listening to their music. Shouldn't the ultra religious be focusing on their religion and not devoting time to this sort of entertainment? You don't hear Muslims in Western countries protesting shows and I think it's partly because they don't follow these artists as they deem them immoral, hence, they don't know a tour is coming, or care (not saying all Muslims are like this, though, some are Gaga fans after all!). You'd think Muslims in their native countries would be doing the same thing, right?

Funnily, the muslims I know love twerking to Anaconda more than anything :laughga: they're like the black minority in the US, with 'cool' music for the boys and ratchet music for the girls.

Songs get played but artists aren't allowed to come here. Judas was banned, Born This Way's bridge was cut out. "Jesus Christ" was cut out from You and I.
