The History of the RadioARTPOP Show-- what would YOU like to know? (Interview)

So, I will be having an opportunity to interview the founder of Radio ARTPOP, Tim Cox. He's been a long time GGD member on here, been here since 2010, before I joined, and he's an old audio/GagaDaily pal of mine from way back when he bootlegged the Cleveland Monster Ball.

Tim recently announced that the popular fan Youtube show, "Radio ARTPOP" will be coming to a close at it's 100th episode in a few weeks.  He wanted to set the record straight as the show comes to a close, and he will be taking questions from everyone from the fanbase about everything. You can PM me the questions you want to have asked and I'll ask him, time allowing.

In the past, there have been many historical moments on the show (Gaga debuting snippets of G.U.Y. on the show, humourous moments with superfans, notorious Twitter-versers) and some downers (fanbase bashing by some guests, rudeness, drunkenness, etc)

However, the purpose of my interview with Tim will be to focus on the positive effects of the show as a whole:

1. The fact that it grew from a small show amongst internet pals to a show watched all over the world and recognised by Gaga herself

2. The fact that it gave fans a platform to discuss not only current Gaga news, but issues that closely tie in to the mission of Gaga's Born This Way Foundation -- touching on issues like eating disorders, cancer, d--g use, parental abuse, and bullying (yes, some guests didn't follow the BTWF's teachings, but this is about the show as a whole)

3. The fact that it became a place for fans to connect with other fans face to face, in real time, to see that: "Yes, there are people my age who think like I do and understand like I do what it is about Gaga's message and music that makes sense."

4. The fact that Radio ARTPOP as we know it is evolving to become a website focused on breaking news and being a resource for all musicians on the pop and currently evolving musical scene.

Over the coming weeks, there will be some extremely awesome newsworthy surprises that will send RadioARTPOP off into the sunset...

I know I may get flack from some of you for choosing to interview this man, but honestly I believe it's nice to take a retrospective on the good his creation has accomplished. How many of us can say they founded a Youtube show that Gaga noticed and even sent new music to, and continues to be involved with through the Haus? Not many can.

So, if you have any questions for Tim (nothing below the belt, keep it real!) PM me or ask them here, I'll do my best to answer them for you all :)

Cheers!

I just want him to praise HML elaborately and what an amazing song it is.
So ask him for his opinion about the song but he can only say good things :laughga:

Maybe a lit uncomfortable for him:

But what does he think of GGD now?

What were his thoughts after one of the girls dragged GGD? Did he agree? Or not agree?

sorry for my ignorance, but what were some of the "downers" revolving around that show? i never really paid much attention to it :flop:

it'd also be interesting to know if he has contacted gaga and/or made plans with her about possible music debuts in the future in a similar way as before

What did you think about Chris Crocker being a guest on the show? Did he live up to your expectations?

Did the attention that Gaga gave to your show boost your, as the founder's, ego?

Lol that's a little baiting but if you had a show, wouldn't it boost your ego a bit too? Wouldn't you be very proud that it had happened... kind of a leading question, not sure if shade or not...

Well the only ones I can really think of were:

A guest once completely lost focus and was goofing off in an accent for the entire show, could have been possible addled by a substance before being on it (on retrospect, this was pretty funny, but at the time it DRAGGED on and on!) Having active moderation of live show helped after that! :teehee:

A guest once came on after he'd been drinking, and actually bullied other guests

A few guests lashed out at bad experiences they had had on GagaDaily and Operation_Gaga, but the guests didn't specify individual members who'd hurt them, they instead chose to paint both forums in a bad light. This , of course, led members here to believe that RadioARTPOP supported a negative stance against the forums, when in reality, these were isolated incidents that occurred. An entire forum cannot be painted with one brush of negativity.

As far as Gaga... well we will have to wait and see what Tim has up his sleeve! :)

I want to know how the viewership levels changed and where they peaked, and what point Tim felt the highest / most iconic levels of the show occurred.  Radio ARTPOP for me was a huge source of ARTPOP news and excitement so I will always remember it fondly.  That and twitter were my only sources leading up to the album release, as I did not discover GGD until Sept 2013 and did not get sucked in cultlike until maybe October / November 2013.

Basically I want to hear him retell the rush of the biggest moments / peaks for him and what were those moments.

(GUY snippet and Emma being on / releasing snippets, for me).
