Are you worried about Giorgio Moroder working on LG6?

For example, I just heard the song he did with Britney and its not very good. The song is very forgettable, Britney's vocals are just ok as usual, and the instrumentals are kind of bland.

First of all, the song is a cover of a classic. So no, the song isn't forgettable. Second of all, Britney Spears is and always has been auto tune queen (sorry, love her but it's true). The robotic voice works for the song. All of the instrumentals released from Giorgio's album are anything but bland.

No, I'm not worried about her working with him nor should anyone else. He's a legend and I'm sure Gaga is honoured that he wants to work with her.

Yeah, I heard the original song and its much better. And by Britney's vocals, I am talking about her actual vocals, not the robotic voice parts. Finally, at least from what I have heard, and specially with Britney's song, the instrumentals are nothing special.

The first time I ever heard his name was when I heard that track, Giorgio By Moroder, from Daft Punk's latest album, which he played a part in writing. And I hated it, one of the worst on the album. Summed up everything I hate about disco. So, his name already didn't have good connotations for me. So, to hear he's working with Gaga has concerned me. I don't want her to do disco for her next album and I definitely don't want her embracing the style that Daft Punk have been doing lately. I just hope she asserts herself well and makes it more her style than his.

No. I'm curious to see what both of them are able to create in the studio.. together, unlike his recent collaborations. I mean, I liked the Kylie track, I love the song with Sia, and 74 is the New 24 is amazing, so I only hope his work with Gaga is even better than that because I know it's for Gaga's album and she would want good music.

Really? Wow, I really love RAM. Maybe I´m seeing it from the exact opposite point of view but I would love Gaga to make a disco album.

Sorry, but disco for the most part, doesn't do it for me. Most of it is soul-less to me and doesn't make me feel like dancing. Yet, so many people found RAM really groovy and wanted to dance to it. I don't get it. I simply don't understand why some people class RAM as a highly sophisticated, groundbreaking album. The lyrics are terrible. They sound like something an amateur dreamed up in 5 minutes and most of them consist of one line or one chorus repeated over and over. It's completely beyond me why people like this kind of thing. Giorgio By Moroder was utterly pointless - a monologue for nearly 2 minutes, interspersed with music that was utterly boring. And it goes on for 9 minutes. What was the point? No wonder he brings up forgetting about the notion of a form of music being correct because this song screwed up the rulebook about what makes a good song. If Gaga does anything like this, I'll be highly disappointed. I liked Disco Heaven, but one disco song from her is enough. I prefer her music that has heart and passion. Wouldn't be pleased if she came out with something that sounded like Get Lucky.

He didn't do anything on Random Access Memories but the recorded monologue.

Listen to that and tell me if you dislike disco still.  :lolly:

i completely agree about your thoughts on the Daft Punk album. Spill that tea. I kind of feel the same about disco as well lol.

Gaga is working with him so nah. She's known for bringing out the best of others and his work with Kylie was amazing. Maybe their collab will smash and he'll be GP famous :flutter:
