At the end of the day you have no input into what gaga does so just shut up and enjoy the music

Never said I did. This is just my opinion.

"For example, I just heard the song he did with Britney and its not very good. The song is very forgettable, Britney's vocals are just ok as usual, and the instrumentals are kind of bland. "

:awkney: I don't like the original song, but it was kind of a hit in the 80s. And it's opposite of forgettable.

And what did you expect from the cover?

The fact that a song is a cover song, does not mean it has to be a bad song.

No. I'm even nowhere near worried. The only thing that would make me worry about anything related to the next album will be Gaga not releasing it for an early retirement from the music industry, which I doubt happening at all. Both Giorgio and Gaga are experienced musicians, and their track record of coming up with music which I enjoy listening to are already enough for me to not feel troubled at all.

i a m a bit apprehensive. i mean what was innovative in the 70s and 80s isnt the same in 2015. his work with all these other basic pop features is far from impressive, and just because they dont have much input doesnt mean its ok that he gives lackluster production/songwriting. just because you were a legend once doesnt mean you can rest on your laurels (coughmadonnacough) so im a little wary. disco and funk is very easily passe and cheap if you dont do it well. because people's knowledge of funk and neo disco only goes so far, if it ended up sounding like mark ronson's dafodils instead of uptown funk then its good, or sounding similar to blood orange or cut copy, then i could see it sounding nice and fresh.

see the thing is though is cheek to cheek is an album of standards. theyre timeless, this tired disco sound in deja vu isnt timeless, it sounds very derivative and dated.

well......i just find them incredibly bland. but most pop music is like that nowadays anyways, just getting by on doing the bare minimum... and since so many here are  pop listeners that to them is normal.

yes and unfortunately has always sacrificed the absolute best quality of her songwriting and artistry because of it. maybe its time for her to step out of the box she claims to hate so much. shes outgrown it.

I think you misunderstood my post. I was just talking about the number of albums Gaga has released. But anyways, I agree you on Giorgio's recent pop music. It sounds bland and uninspired.
