JazzGa 14,652
Well, the only thing Atheists have in common is that they don't believe in a god/gods/higher power (if you are an Agnostic Atheist you are opened to the possibility of a higher power but concede that there has, so far, been no evidence for such). I have actually met some Atheists that are mysogynists and homophobic. Most that I have met however are very open minded and pro-gay marriage. But it's a very diverse group. You're right, they are very diverse (and I consider myself one). But Catholics and Protestants and Buddhists are diverse too. But we athiests etc. ARE a large group who votes and whose opinions matter, so I would like to see us included in these kinds of polls. I think that nonreligious people would largely support same-s-x marriage. I now see that this particular study was conducted by a religious research organization, so I see why they didn't care about that information; but in general I think it would be nice if we at least saw an "other" section ya feel? My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <

I definitely feel. I think last I read Atheists were 18% of the total population (this was many years ago), yet people like to act like we are invisible. And I definitely vote. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
Bad Bromance 5,809
I'm actually pleasantly surprised with these numbers. Before I enlarged the screen shot in the OP, I thought I was going to find numbers in the mid to upper 40s so this is really good news! I remember when I was a teenager, things were so much different back then. You guys have no idea how things have greatly improved for the LGBT community in the last 15 years alone! Seems to me like we're progressing by leaps and bounds! I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
