New York City buses must show 'killing Jews' ad, judge rules

Or they get attacked because Jewish people occupied their land and killed and oppressed them for decades. Stop trying to make it as purely a religious conflict and make Israelis like innocent little lambs who never do anything wrong. I can also give you an examples of IDF soldiers or Times of Israel writers quoting Torah in support of last Gaza aggression, articles such as "when genocide is permissible" can still be found in google cache. That still wouldn't be allowed to present as ad to smear all Jewish people as blood thirsty monsters inspired by their religion.

What land does Israel occupies from Lebanon?

They quoted an actual video and that's too much?

Really? Apologizing for terrorist is the ultimate level of political correctness. It's some next level stuff. If you find a quote offensive maybe you should be talking about where it came from and not an ad that uses it.

Zionist woman is a sponsor of the ad. It's very much relevant and on topic.

Until Islam reforms, her adherents will continue slaughtering the innocent... Hundreds of thousands dead in Syria because of 2 warring sects of Islam... But no let's focus on other areas where a fraction are dead compared to the real atrocities

These are the sort of ads we are talking about.

It's divisive. The slogan isn't "HAMAS JEW HATRED" or something to that effect it is an attack on Islam itself.

While I'm not somebody who likes religion, I'm somebody who finds religion harmful and irrational, an ad like this is clearly inflammatory. What is the reader of these ads taking away from it?

Are they taking away "Oh Hamas is a palestinian Terrorism group that wants to establish a religious state"?

Or are they taking away "Oh muslims hate jews, it's in the Quran" and "Oh killing jews is worship to Allah"?

Your everyday muslim in the US is about as dangerous as your everyday Christian. In these ads however, it is equating the most extreme versions of Islam as the most predominant or correct interpretation. In a place where Islamaophobia is already high, this doesn't do much to help assimilate these groups into society.

I'm gonna throw in a controversial statement: The conflict between Palestinians/Jewish people is not a conflict of religion. It's a conflict of colonialism that was ignited by Great Britain do destabilize the region in an attempt to regain administrative control and upkeep the British Empire. All this fighting was kind of set up so the people down there would diminish each other so the British could re-build/expand their empire.

That may have been the goal at one time. But the conflict has been self perpetuating for quite some time, neither leadership seems dedicated to a peacefull solution. The interference from outside powers (U.S . Iran, Saudi Arabia) make things worse and bloodier.

Currently, Britian has no plans to re-establish colonial control in the region.

The first ad there is too much in attacking all muslims. (Although I did look it up and it was in response to another ad).

The second ad on the other hand is completely fine. It even says the quote is from Hamas. And "That's His Jihad. What's yours?" is anything but inflammatory. It literally means "we aren't attacking all muslims, just ones like him." And that's not offensive in any way.

Ok, so reverse the roles, here's a quote from another real video

Take the quote out "Death to Arabs" or "may your village be burnt down", put it next to a photo of a Jew with kippah and add under

"this is his mantra/chant for today, what's yours?"

or if you want to make it more like the first ad

add some verse about gentiles from Torah or Talmud.

Try that and let me know how it goes.

Both antisemitic and islamophobic ads should be banned, especially when they try to paint whole group of people with the same brush.

I'm sure it would play out exactly the same way.

People would overreact, even though the quote is true and inoffensive to normal people.

I bet people would also claim that all jews are victims and do nothing wrong like you do with Palestinians.

I don't think so, ADL would be all over it, it would be seen as antisemitic and banned without a question.

It's only freedom of speech when it's against certain groups. Others can get you fired, fined or even imprisoned, depends on the country. I'm taking about West now.
