Nicole 1,809
It's not worth it. Yes, she can get nominated and asked if she wanted a star but it's all on her bank account. You have to pay like $30,000 to get the star in the first place PLUS yearly maintenance fees. Yes, she may deserve one and sure the status of having your name on the Walk of Fame is great but in all honesty, where is the speciality in having your name walked over by people everyday? I feel like she can and should be remembered in far more special + significant ways. (if she got her handprints and footprints at the Chinese Theatre I wouldn't mind that because that'd be a cool thing to go and see)
Bradley 59,631
I really hope so. I think she already deserves it honestly.Anyway, I cannot accept the fact that Katy Perry receives it before her. I mean she's chart topping yes, but talent-wise, she's really no competition for Gaga.
Whispering 18,865
Why wouldn't she be interested? I really want her to get one. Because it's not anything that is highly respected, so unless the person finds it important...for some reason...it really is a waste of time and money. Mills 446
I'm unsure, and not because whether she deserves one or not, but more of on whether she'd actually want one or not. The walk of fame is arguably meant to be Hollywood's then-unique take on a 'hall of fame' among its biggest stars. But as more and more were inducted, even those who were not that widely popular, the less its prestige became. Plus, much like any recognition not given by merit alone but also rather by self-inclusion through application, its regard is relatively lower as opposed to recognitions being given by merit alone. So if you ask me if I'd want for Gaga to get a star, I'd rather want to see her inducted in actual halls of fame wherein there's more likelihood that the audience would look up to her name over having a star in the sidewalks of Hollywood wherein the audience would look down for them to read her name. I'll post a thread asking if she will get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in the coming days then
