Here's a pic I made last year which is relevant :)

wiki:

"Applause" was written and produced by Gaga and DJ White Shadow, along with Martin Bresso, Nick Monson, and Dino Zisis while on the road for her Born This Way Ball tour in 2012.

AND PRODUCED...

Martin Bresso - Also known as Tchami

Born Paris, France

Genres

Future House, Deep house, Tech House

Occupation(s) Producer, DJ

Instruments Synthesizer, Drumcomputer, DJ Equipment

Nick Monson is a sound engineer, composer and producer.

He worked with Lady Gaga on the following song(s):

Songs from ARTPOP (2013):

"Applause" (Co-producer) <--- CO-PRODUCER

...

Dino Zisis, also known as Speedlove, is a EDM house composer, producer and mixer.

He has worked with Lady Gaga on the following song(s):

Songs from ARTPOP (2013):

"Applause" (Co-producer) <----  CO-PRODUCER

Moreover, when Gaga records in Australia, she has to credits the australian technicians, when she records in France, she has to credit french technicians, etc.

In my opininon, that's why there are so many mixing assistants.

And Marina recorded in the same studio.

I don't get it... of course Gaga's music has many people behind it. It's not like Gaga can play every instrument and produce every song by herself  She wants all the experts so she can tell them what kind of sounds she's looking for - then they start working on the songs together (my idea of her working). After all she's a big part of the writing, actually I think she wrote almost all the lyrics herself. The producers are also credited as writers because producing is composing, and composing is considered as writing

I mean, basically all of this. Gaga is way bigger, can afford more people but a lot of those people added very little to the actual album. She was on tour so she had to just work with whoever was at that area with her.

Are you talking about FROOT or ARTPOP? Because I haven't read any Froot bashing here

I know Marina is like everybody's fave but this is like comparing the staff at your local grocery store with the staff at target. You cannot ask for the same amount of people for two projects that are so different in size.

Plus, they have different ways of work: Marina settled at one place with only one producer to do everything. Gags recorded the album everywhere with different technicians, and with at least 4 different producers for different songs, because they were the people that she wanted to work with. People in the industry work differently: Bjork wrote vulnicura alone in Iceland and composed the string arrangements alone and only let Arca come to produce the final product in a short amount of time, while on the other hand Britney doesn't even meet with the songwriters at times. Its so relative really

all those people and that's the best they can do?

ARTPOP?

I bet she worked with less people and with less time for the fame monster

Like Gaga is a WW superstar, who even is Marina and the Diamonds. I bet she couldn't afford more than one person to collaborate with. Like I don't want to sound like a stan who doesn't want his #1 fave to be insulted but this thread is a mess. Plus I hate ARTPOP so I don't take offense in the fact that it took one million people to make it happen

don't follow my instagram (trying out reverse psychology)

Not to discredit her work or anything but these are sooo many people :toofunny: It's so stressful to think that ALL these people were hired to work on 1 album. Meanwhile albums like FROOT, "Diamandis wrote all twelve tracks featured on the record by herself, and collaborated with producer David Kosten for their production."

And her album is terrible.

Of course it took less people to make 8 songs than 15

I can't believe how f*cking stupid you all act. "Why does she need so many people working in her album?" Because she is touring the world while having to split her off time between Chicago, L.A. and New York. She can't just fly in her team of 10 producers, recording assistants, sound engineers and so on to every damn location where the muse might hit her.

That would be exorbitantly EXPENSIVE and is also dismissive of the fact that the people Gaga works with are HUMANS WITH PERSONAL LIVES THEMSELVES that might not be available at Gaga's command. Geez.

That's just your opinion, and not the point. You were touting that Gaga probably had less people working on TFM like it was some sort of big accomplishment, but it's pretty obvious to realize that's mostly because it has half the songs ARTPOP does and not some indication of quality
