Fans (or at least stans on Gaga Daily) are not aging with Gaga as time passes

I remember a few years ago I was younger than most people here and now, being 18, i'm part of the average-ish but I honestly don't think age is an issue here, it's an opinion forum and not restricted or defined by age.

It's more to do with the site than to do with Gaga's fanbase. Who in their right mind would be active on a forum like this aged 21+ for more than a few hours a week or month when the conversation consists of people posting pictures of drag queens or obscure 'housewives of _____' in order to throw 'shade'? I mean, the lack of intelligent conversation on here and the high levels of immaturity are not going to make people stay when they've outgrown the whole "I'm cool on the internet" thing.

Nah. I'm 20 but I'll be stanning for Gaga for the rest of my life. I have a friend's uncle that I converted into a Monster around the time BTW came out and I went to artRAVE with him too. He's 70 and uses LM's, likes her on FB, and follows her on Twitter. I wonder if he stans more than I do 

I have yet to introduce him to GGD though

I didn't know that either...it never occurred to me what age 'any' poster was prior to this poll.  

I didn't consider it a factor in some of the conversions either, but now, I it makes more sense to me.  

A lot of topics seem so uninteresting , but the age gap goes a long way to explain some of the stances people take.

also, the 'gang' up on ,mentality that I have seen here and lm.com is pretty age related...I am a loner and don't really relate to this kind of social behavior..

Immaturity and maturity has no real starting age, imo. I mean you can choose to be mature or immature from time to time, right ? Anyway, you're never too old to stan for Gaga nor being a member in this site. I, for one, will keep stanning for Gaga till my very last breath.

I feel the same way.. I'm about gaga's age and idk.. I guess I am kind of growing out of this site.. I used to check it everyday but now I feel like I don't belong because of my age.. I know I shouldn't feel that way but I do..

​Why do people grow out of fan forums though? This is literally the only place where I can have discussions about Gaga. I don't have any friends in my non internet life who like her. I get that people get jobs and then start families and have less time but most people have a few moments of free time throughout the day. I would usually rather come here than watch tv or read a book or a magazine. I can't see that changing. I feel like I will always want to have conversations about Gaga no matter what else is happening in my life.

​I totally agree with you. I can't imagine to live without this forum because it is the only place where I can talk about Gaga and many other things. 

Although I can understand those people who haven't that much time for a forum.. maybe the older ones who are already working, don't want to spend their free time in a forum. I would understand this because I've experienced the same thing. When I'm very busy, it is hard to come here, simply because I don't have time for it :(

i know this reply is late but its not a matter of they stopped stanning because of age, the obvious reason is they stopped stanning either after BTW or ARTPOP. I bet the people you are talking about are the ones that left after TFM. Those weren't true fans , they did not appreciate BTW and claimed it too experimental, during 2012 we lost a lot of fans it was the beginning of Gaga's downfall. Many thought Gaga has lot her edge to other artist doing what she did but in a safer more appealing way (ex: Katy TD era). Those who left after BTW saw the poor tour sales and the lack of Gaga nominations and couldn't help but be part of a fanbase that was victorious constantly so they either stopped stanning for anyone or they became Katy kats. And then we lost a chunk of monsters with all the ARTPOP drama. So tbh it's just a matter of unfaithful fans IMH opinion cause think about it we were the most impactful fan base of all time during 2009-2011. We were the first fan base with a title "Little Monsters" we made Gaga break records that no one has ever surfaced even Madonna, obviously its cause our numbers were huge. Yes we do gain fans each era but we have been losing more than we have been gaining ever since 2012.
