​Uh a lot of us were waiting for the results to come out and we hoped she'd be on the list. I shared the list to share my disappointment. If other people wanna bring negativity to it they gladly can try and I'll shut it down for ya babe, don't worry.

​The polls are for "who do you think?". But as we saw, they are susceptible to stans (hence the top results were Putin and musicians w/ renowned rabid stans) who spam votes so really reflect nothing.

What's the point of doing that public poll where Gaga is voted 3rd just behind Putin () and CL, only to end-up with that mess of a list where the public opinion is not even considered, seeing that both Gaga and CL are not even included? Irrelevant much.

Yeah...wait.. Putin has stans? I'm still shocked by his performance in that poll. 

Understand the reason they don't just use the winners of those polls, but I thought it might have SOME say in the top 100. Lol It's ok though.

​Well not really stans for Putin but crazy devoted Russians... I'm sure you've heard of them. :P

Like pretty much all openly voted things (like awards shows, obviously not political elections!) the public vote is generally just to see what the public think. The results will be considered but the actual decision will be ultimately made by the powers that be. 

That's why you get the constant 'awards for turning up' ~scandals~ at awards shows every year

Still a very good list. And it's never been about who's influential in a good way but for better or worse. Years ago, dictators won Person Of The Year, after all. But, yeah, I question how some people can be on this list but others who clearly outrank them in influentiality aren't. With any luck, Gaga's accolades and beginning of a potential comeback this year will get a place the following year. Just a head's up, though: Time rarely feature the same people on the list every year. Unless you're a major politician or something.

I agree with this. ​I also actually can see why half the list is there. I would have liked Gaga to be on there, with her "reinvention" and Oscar performance and Grammy, but did she have *that* big of an impact so far? No, but if all goes well, I can definitely see her being on the list next time.
