In its 24th week since its release, Taylor Swift's '1989' has now become the 2nd best-selling album of the decade (2010-present) in Nielsen Music-reported album sales, just behind Adele's 21. It has also become the first and only album this year to sell a million units in the United States, widening its lead in the process as 2015's best-selling album so far. In 2014, '1989' finished as the year's best-selling album with only two months of eligible sales tracking period.

Congratulations to Taylor :woot: 

Although I doubt she'll take Adele's throne, I do wonder how close she'll get to it :huh: When 1989 was first going to be released it wouldn't have ever crossed my mind that it would eventually beat out her previous two albums which were super successful too, but I was very wrong :dies:

I still don't get all that hype around this album... and around Taylor to be honest.. :madge:

I'm not trying to be rude here, but am I the only one who doesn't find her or her music interesting? I tried to listen to some of her songs but they just sound so.. basic. And hollow..

Oh well, congratulations to her. That's an amazing success. :love:
