ALX 170 Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 As many of you know, I've been a member of GGD since it was just starting out back in 2009. There was a supposed hoarder (though he just bs-ed his way into getting music) that teased the community for years. One of the few things the community actually got from him was an interesting audio project named Prosody. For those not musically or linguistically inclined, the very basic definition is the various components of speech. Basically, using a variety of audio tools he clipped, doctored and stretched some of Gaga's songs out 800x into an ambient, yet still easily identifiable, collection. Following the release of TFM and subsequently BTW, there was renewed interest in creating another collection like this. I volunteered to do it and never really finished because so many BTW songs are good that I couldn't possibly cut it down into an EP. Though a second volume was in fact created by another GGD member, it never really gained traction. With ARTPOP, so many songs off the album have inspired all of us in some way -- consciously or subconsciously -- so I thought maybe I should create a proper addition to the canon. Well, I decided to start off with a track that was intended for the album but never used, Brooklyn Nights.
