CHANTEL 2
Hello Gaga stan, welcome to another artist. Well firstly, we can look at We R Who We R, the song was released before born this way was announced (correct me if I'm wrong), and that song in itself speaks volumes in her message as opposed to Gaga's, the whole pronoun "we" instead of "you", and how she's all about living in the moment and giving your critics no second thought... I think you need to look into her a bit more, the singles are chosen by Dr. Luke and certainly not her, the inspirational songs are Animal, Love Into The Light, Warrior, etcetc, but I really think you should go to one of her shows before you knock them down for not being inspiring. I spent 95% of the time at the Gaga show I went to b---hing and being b---hed at just for my place at the show, and with the Kesha show there was no hate anywhere to be found. For me she's way more inspiring than Gaga, and I understand that's only because she speaks to me on a personal level and not to the public- but I think you should look into her music a bit more before saying: "BUT it's not like I feel set free/liberated and learn to love myself by "Waking up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy" or "Stealing bubble gum from the maxi mart" because I could say the same about Gaga, with "Hooker, yeah you're my hooker, Hooker, government hooker, Hooker, yeah you're my hooker", selecting irrelevant lyrics doesn't make your point valid, what about "I am in love with what we are,Not what we should be" or "I know we're all different, baby that's life, but since when were these differences so wrong that kids are taking their own lives"
GlitteredSpandex 0
 All in all we all find different artists inspiring, but it's not your place to knock someone else's inspiration down just because you can't quite see why they are so inspirational
nomorescheisse 0
Ke$ha is very inspirational. It doesn't show so much in her singles, but it's kind of the same as Gaga. (Just Dance and Tik Tok have pretty much the same concept). But on this album alone, there's Warrior, All That Matters and Love into the Light. All inspirational songs. Introvert 0
I spent 95% of the time at the Gaga show I went to b---hing and being b---hed at just for my place at the show thats on you though dude. idk why people made it all about their place in the show lol like just enjoy gaga! I don't think she will. There is a forum dedicated to her why she would come here and not there? she doesnt have a forum dedicated to her though? idve thought i wouldve found it by now. Introvert 0
i honestly believe that she and gaga are the two people competing for the role as the "spokesperson" (there's a better term, but i can't think of it) for the outcasts, but kesha comes across so much more genuine and realistic about it. like, LITL is such an amazing song. BTW...isn't xD shes genuine and realistic about it because shes not on the same level of fame and pressure in my opinion gaga was way more raw before the fame monster and all the meteoric exposure she achieved halfway through 2009. all that comes with skyrocketed fame took a toll on how her genuinity is perceived lol heightened ego and heightened pressure to live up to her own name

I like Ke$ha, I like her music, and I think she's funny as hell. So if anyone thought I was a stuck up Gaga Stan who hates another artist, hopefully that should clear things up. Second, I understand that someone who studies Ke$ha in a more intimate light, may know more about her album songs; BUT, based off her public career, the singles that have been chosen, and the way that she has presented herself, it was to my knowledge that life was a party and nothing more. Rarely if at all, have I heard Ke$ha speak about human rights, animal rights, and or equal rights. And While I'm sure she might have discussed this once or twice before,= she hasn't built her career off of bettering a more young, free, and inspiring youth. So I feel offended that, THAT is what she is portrayed as. Lady Gaga on the other hand, since the beginning has been open on her views and beliefs...it was just only until her second and third album that she really embraced it. But she has always, even during The Fame era embraced her misfits and taboo fans. Ke$ha, from what i've seen from her in the General public has not. That being said, it seems to me that Kesha is merely following a trend. Does that make her a bad artist or person? NO! It just means I find her to be a bit less genuine. I don't count songs off of Warrior being inspirational given the fact that her reality show was filmed during the making of the record. And on top of that, I find way too many similarities between the record and BORN THIS WAY. I know that the above text will probably be taken as ignorance by right of favoritism So I won't be surprised when I come back in a hour to find 12 notifications of hate. That's just the way the cookie crumbles on this site. As for free spirited, wild and crazy Kesha, I think she's bad ass and I still like her and all. But having listened to all of her discography, and watching the TV show, I would have to question her genuineness against being a role model for people who don't fit in. That part of her career seems fake to me. But I COMPLETELY respect YOUR opinion on the matter. If you find a connection to her, great. I'm not going to sit here and try to change your opinion; because that would be ignorant!
Jase 13,382
HATE that the episodes are only 20 minutes long  She's coming across so, so well. Such a down to earth, hard working gal.

That part of her career seems fake to me. i agree with this. i find that a lot of her fans often paint her as more than she is in terms of being a role model and a genuine figure. i think shes genuine in her aesthetic and how she perceives herself and her music, moreso with her first record. but in terms of being an advocate against bullying? it just comes off like the same redundant **** you hear all the time: "be who you are". like okay ke$ha that sounds empowering? sure. sure. anyway

I agree, like if I didn't know she was famous I wouldn't think she was. I just love how she goes out to the clubs, goes back home, finds guys like she's a normal 20-something. I remember when Gaga used to be like that...

Her being portrayed as an advocate for bullying and equality, seem like the trendy thing to do. More so since Gaga's initial launch in 2008. (Before Ke$ha's time) To me, this seems more as a ritual to seek relevance, rather than true belief. These days at least.

But I genuinely think she's still like that. Hopefully her brother will film the Warrior tour and the show will be on long enough for us to see it! JEANBO 364
I love Kesha's show. She's really funny. Also, Kesha is very inspiring but in a different way than Gaga. Gaga is full of metaphors and she's little harder to understand and full of layers that need to be investigated, while Kesha is more raw and easier to understand. Lets put it this way: Gaga is a chocolate-mint ice cream - you taste it, it's good but different and you need to eat 2 or 3 of them to just get addicted; Kesha on the other hand is simple chocolate ice cream with nuts - it's tasty, simple and whenever you feel bored you'll eat that. (marry the night reference at mint is intentional, GET THAT PROMO )
