Serendipity 7,821
ARTPOP SHIPPED 2.3 million in 2013. It did not sold 2.3 million. it was reported by IFPI and IFPI almost all the time reports the shipments of an album, not their actual WW sales. ARTPOP had sold 1.3 million copies in 2013 and sold 700,000 more copies in 2014 while shipped 400,000 more copies in the same year. Applause was a hit, but I'll argue that DWUW (2.2 million WW & 1.2 million in the US) was not. I mean, even with a remix, performances, and other kinds of promo, it didn't even made it top 10 of Billboard Hot 100. And really? Applause was a hit but not a huge one. Is that how low you Little Monsters place your standards for a huge hit? Even though Teenage Dream has sold 4.6 million copies in the US (8 million WW) and is certified 5 times Platinum by RIAA, we KatyCats still don't consider it a huge hit. let a single that has sold 2.5 million copies in the US (4.3 million WW) and 3 times certified Platinum by RIAA alone. By the way, I am not trying to discredit Gaga. Half of artists today wish that they could sell half of that. She already had her destrucitve era! It's called ARTPOP please go away troll this thread is for hope not hate i can only pray for you See talent here-->http://bit.ly/2eqeUxK

Bebe 17,093
Just because something is mainstream, does not mean that it's poor in quality or "low caliber". I can't with some people, why would anyone want her to do super experimental music? She is a pop star who wants to be relevant more than ever lately, not some indie artist singing for 20 people. Besides, if she did an unsuccessful yet "experimental" album we wouldn't even see her perform. Promo spots are booked for acts who have something marketable to promote I never said that anything mainstream was low caliber or poor in quality. Don't start putting words in my mouth. Why would I want her to do experimental music? Because I think she is capable of making something extremely interesting and listenable. She is a pop star, but she talks about not wanting to be put inside the box as a pop star.I'm not asking for a damn Revolution 9 from her. But hey, an album as bold and left of center as Yeezus wouldn't go unappreciated. A bit of Björk would be pretty cool I think she is capable of it, and with her friends including the likes of Robert WIlson and Marina Abramovic I think she has the opportunity to do something rather brave and polarizing but high in quality. A slight career dip in the return for really interesting and great music isn't a bad tradeoff. Especially when an album with the music of Björk and the performances of Marina/Robert WIlson will only open up more opportunities for her in the art world and will only be looked upon with reverence in the greater scheme of her legacy. Redstreak 6,653
Depends on the actual quality of the music. If the music was terrible and she was publicly making a fool of herself at every appearance then yeah I could probably see me just maybe being a casual fan. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Supersonic 49,376
I hope she tears her pop career into shreds, I'm sick of people wanting Gaga to assimilate because she otherwise wouldn't be commercially successful.
Cody Draco 2,531
As long as I have hope for her to make music I enjoy, then I won't leave. If she makes music that is sh*tty to my tastes and has era that totally turns me off and I lose all hope, then I might just leave. StrawberryBlond 14,862
I'll only leave if the music gets bad. I kept an open mind for Xtina after Bionic (which was just merely ok after a 4 year wait), but Lotus confirmed to me that I did the right thing. It's all about knowing when your fave has reached a point where there is no going back to the great stuff. As long as Gaga still shows greatness, I'll be here. I'll never be one of those types who just stops buying music by people when they're no longer successful. I'm loyal to my faves until they start making music that makes me question my devotion. I don't get it when some people say things like "Madonna's flopping because she isn't promoted well enough." No, it's because she hasn't made good music in years and no one's interested, regardless of the promo. Make good music and you'll still shift decent amounts. I've seen indie acts that have had singles with no promo and no pre-orders debut at better positions than mainstream acts who have released a single with promo and pre-orders. I've seen indie acts have soldout tours with albums that sold less than mainstream artists albums who didn't even bother touring. I'm sure if Gaga keeps delivering quality, she'll always pull in an audience of some degree and I'll be one of them.
