After being abruptly dumped by her longtime p.r. rep this week, Mariah Carey’s quickly moved to find a replacement — and is assembling a whole new management team ahead of what she hopes will be a career comeback.

Page Six exclusively reported that publicist Cindi Berger parted ways with Carey on Tuesday — and we’re told the “Emotions” singer has now hired the Chamber Group’s Chris Chambers, whose clients have includedDrakeLil Wayne and Quvenzhané Wallis.

Carey has also hired TV producers/managers Stella Bulochnikov and Brian Sher to represent her after severing ties in August with her former manager Jermaine Dupri.

“Mariah is creating a whole new team around her,” an insider said. “New life, new relationships, new label, new management, new publicist, new residency, new, well, everything.”

Earlier this year, Carey exited Universal Music Group to sign a new deal with L.A. Reid and Sony’s Epic Records, which reunited her with the execs who oversaw her previous comeback album, 2005’s “The Emancipation of Mimi.”

The departure of Berger after more than 15 years comes just weeks before the May 6 launch of Carey’s residency at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, where she’ll sing 18 of her No. 1 hits. An album of the chart-toppers will be released later this summer.

Berger has most recently guided divalicious Carey through a messy divorce from Nick Cannon as well as a highly publicized, epic holiday meltdown at Rock Center, during which Carey kept fans waiting in the cold for hours, then never showed to a taping of NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” holiday special. She instead performed live a day later — but fans panned her pipes.

Despite the drama, sources said Carey’s “more focused” as she starts rehearsals for Vegas next week. “Mariah’s done a lot of soul-searching . . . and when she went into the studio to start work on her new album, she felt more happy and free than she ever had and realized she wanted a fresh start.” She’s also reportedly working on a Christmas movie with her pal Brett Ratner.

Mariah is a living legend. She should have more respect here. You younglings don't even know.

Hope she slays with her next effort, her vocal power seems to be diminishing though. She needs to come back hard and make sure she prepares properlly for her performances.

Ariana's spot will be taken by an upcoming Disney/Nick star soon enough. Mariah's spot is as a legend.

It would be a miracle if Mariah can stage ANOTHER comeback,
given her vocal pipes have been mostly shredded from DECADES of oversinging especially during the Sony/Tommy Mottola years and the R&B shtick she resorted to to save her voice is tired and old, while her remix/dance tracks for the gays never sell enough copies...so what is she going to "sing" now? It's also a red flag to hear Cindi Berger parting ways with MC (who dropped who is hearsay) give Berger stuck around through the GLITTER era

Why does she need to comeback anyway like why do all these artists with legendary achievements never just retire with the $300 mil in the bank and rest and live quietly and peacefully, away from public criticism and judgements and maybe release a song now and then lowkey for superfan joy and personal satisfaction but this constant need for people who were once phenomenally successful to forever maintain/comeback to such illusion is pure nonsense and bizarre

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

I've been a fan of mariah since the late 90s/early 2000s and I can honestly tell you that she won't have a true comeback. Maybe a few hits here and there but nothing memorable. She's a legend yes but no one cares about whose a legend or not anymore in 2015 and it looks like people will continue not caring for upcoming decades. Some people just don't care to see her past success and held her high to this "legend" title anymore. Do I wish the best for her and hope for a great next record? Yes but I have to be realistic and accept the fact she won't. She's been planning her corny "comeback" since 2008.

I think people like her and Madonna don't retire because they actually do what they love so they don't want to stop. Plus they probably see the pop stars who are slaying and think "oh, well, I could do that...."

I don't think she will ever have a comeback to the levels she once achieved, but another Touch My Body is not unbelievable. I'll settle for another Obsessed.

A top ten hit, or two, followed by a couple of top 20 hits and an album that lands in the top 5 range and I would be extremely satisfied. That's basically best case scenario. I mean it's been ten years since The Emancipation of Mimi, nobody would expect another album like that.

She can still achieve a certain level of mainstream success, and that's all she really needs to build upon her career legacy. "A few hits here and there" is all I would really expect or want
