21 years ago on April 8th 1994, Kurt Cobain, hugely popular, successful, talented visionary with insanely good looks, and overwhelmingly bright future took his own life via shotgun fire into the mouth.

The moment shook a generation en masse in a way that wouldn't be seen until 1997 and then never again.

To this day, he is rightfully hailed as a songwriter that comes once in a lifetime and could project a dark sense of self loathing, insecurity and terror like no other.

Kurt Cobain was a pioneer of a movement that spanned the late 80s and extended into the mid 90s. The grunge style has been referenced by everyone from rihanna to cartoons like the Simpson's.

His suicide is part of what gives me such anxiety about Gaga. She is so much like him in some ways... in their aura and trying to hide insecurity and addiction. It terrifies me.

He was too beautiful to go so soon.

He joined the infamous 27 club.

I thought it was an interesting observation, actually. Perhaps it wasn't stated in the most respectably eloquent way but there's something symbolic in that. Gaga and Kurt were both musical and cultural rebels in their time.

What happened in 1997?

Cultural icon Princess Diana died. There hasn't been anything that shook the world in such a way since. Kurt was the most recent before that.

He was truly a tortured soul, he just wanted to be an artist & the media, his wife and his fake fans ruined his life tbh.

I wish he was still alive now, RIP to one of the greatest artist ever :worship::(

I was scared when Gaga was 27 of her joining the 27 club. But a huge artist is usually added to it every decade or two for example Kurt died at 27 in 1997 and the next big artist to die at 27 was Amy Winehouse is 2011. The only exception was in 1970 when Jimi Hendrix, Alan Wilson. and Janis Joplin died within three months of each other and each of them were 27.

I will forever LOVE Nirvana!  They were the sh!t back in the early 90s.  But, the anniversary of his actual death was on Sunday, April 5.  That is when the autopsy reports reveal that he took his life away.  Kurt's body was actually found three days later on April 8th.

Kurt was a one of a kind genius.  People like him come around only once in a lifetime and IMO, he was really HOT!  I remember having a crush on him throughout high school.  I just wanted to get into his pants!

If he hadn't taken his life and he'd still be around, I wonder what he would think of Gaga?  I have this fantasy, that will sadly never come through for obvious reasons, that Gaga collaborated with Nirvana on a killer album like Nevermind.  That would be EPIC!!!!!!     :staymad:  :legend:

RIP Kurt Cobain.   :rip:

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
