Well, maybe she just got tired of it  I also once thought I was being myself dying my hair blue, but then I just got tired of it after a few months :ohwell:

tbh, I got tired of all the people staring at me in the bus

I already think she went downhill halfway during TFM and especially era-wise during BTW. But I totally miss the 100% in control, performance art TF era. But that ain't ever coming back.

For me it's very obvious: her career died a slow death after the day she decided (to present the idea that) her fans were more important than her craft. Someone who's not delusional enough to "stan" for a pop artist gets tired quickly with a celebrity who's so fan-oriented in speech and action. And that's completely justified.

Everything she stood for during the TF is just thrown out the window. Her core idea was that no one would ever understand her and that she would keep surprising people. She let that crack when she pretended her fanbase had a genuine connection with her and vice versa, and cracked again when she didn't know what else to do when her shock tricks ran out. Sad, truly.

What utter drivel. Her career is over? Seriously? She's still the best pop star around.

Yeah she lost what was interesting about her. I hope that she finds it in the next album.

Pseudo Alien Gaga crafting mythology about her was the Gaga i liked, not this Venus cosplayer/fat jazz diva wannabe we have been having for the last 2 years. She is mockery of herself trying to get herself taken seriously right now.

This basically sums up my stance.

Except she's being taken more seriously now than ever before.   She doesn't need fans who stoop to immature personal attacks to voice their displeasure.

I'm sure with her new manager reinventing her image and getting back to major promo, plus RedOne producing most of her next album, Gaga wants to become once again the pop star on top we all know and love....I feel we won't be disappointed by the new music or era...I'm getting good vibes and she seems happy with everything in life right now...

She's ready and the GP is ready once again to give it another shot....

bye bye ARTPOP...hello LG5

Oh god shut up. Look think what you like about her doing more than just pop records, I could care less. But I find this thread so incredibly obnoxious. But I mean honestly if you're going to do this anywhere its at least appropriate here since we're on a gaga forum. Can't really talk ****. But nevertheless, I rolled my eyes.

And I agree, I think Venus was probably the best thing about ARTPOP. However, some of you act like its such a musical trainwreck or something and maybe its not like "cool" or whatever and its definitely her weakest effort imo but its not like its actually bad. Theres still something present in it and it was still very gaga.

If this entire post is how you truly feel about Lady Gaga the artist than what the **** are you still doing on a Lady Gaga fan forum?

Everyone has their criticisms. Everyone. I certainly do. But considering how incredibly cynical and negative you are about the artist of which this entire forum is centered on, its really baffling to me that you remain here spouting your condescending bull****. Think what you will, quite honestly im sure we could have a discussion about her and all the things I agree with you on and all of which I disagree, but its just the fact that you remain here when you so clearly do not appreciate her anymore. And I swear to God, if you even try to respond to this with that cliche ex-fan "I like her im just not up her ass" statement than don't bother. Neither am I.

This is a Lady Gaga fan forum. If you truly think shes nothing more than a washed up cliche pop act than what are you doing here. It comes off kind of pathetic. Either that, or you're just a self-loathing fan that overcompensates with cynicism to make yourself feel better for liking someone thats no longer deemed socially acceptable to like.

Sorry, I rly do appreciate the effort she puts in expanding her musical horizons, getting critical acclaim, etc., etc., but I really, REALLY miss the Gaga that she used to be during The Fame Monster/ Born this Way era - the GRAND performances, epic videos, epic dance movements and focking HITS. She rly delivered during those eras. I rly want her to go all mysterious-persona again and be herself, the pop PERFORMANCE ARTIST, not a singer/celebrity.

///over. Feel free to bash me.

The mysterious Gaga can only impress people for so long, until they move onto something new. Especially today, celebrity culture is a lot different than it used to be, and I think Gaga is trying to market herself a bit differently. She's showing people that she's a real person with real talent. I'd much rather people know that Gaga is a talented musician and amazing human, and not some meat dress wearing lady that might have a penis. :laughga:

And she lost everything that made her unique and drew me towards her. I hope she can prove me wrong, but i dont see her doing it anytime soon, not with the mindset that she seems to have now. If GUY is the best she could pull on her own and "free of restraints" basically that means she's going to **** up again. Do you really think the Oscars thing is going to last forever?

"Personal attacks" omg but did i lie? Right now she is fat and she's not an actual jazz singer, despite claiming she was singing jazz since she was a ****ing fetus, hence my previous words. It's not even an opinion.

On a final note, i frankly hope she proves me wrong. But i doubt it. Right now she sounds like a girl pretending to be deep since she sings jazz but she's more or less stimulating than a fart, probably less since those do cause a reaction

lol you don't know me :dies: This one post doesn't summarize my opinion about Gaga at all.

If I didn't appreciate anything she did these days I wouldn't still be here, but that's simply not the case. She displays moments of absolute genius amidst her general fan-related boredom and I still believe she has the potential to truly connect with her inner artist. From the start I have felt that she only truly let out her potential when she's guest starring in someone else's show: her performances with Sting and The Rolling Stones, her tribute performances to Sting and Stevie Wonder etc. are more in line with her earlier performance style. Her collaboration with Robert Wilson is the best (visual) thing she did in her career imo. Plus, she gave two of the best performances in her career during the Cheek to Cheek era (Bang Bang & Lush Life). This to me proves my point but also convinces me that she's far from done. She still delivers, but it's more the exception than the rule. Is that truly cynical?

I love her music too. I think all of her albums so far have been brilliant pop records (hello, I think ARTPOP is her second best), it's just that I feel like she ruined them with disconnected era's, especially from TFM onwards. I've expressed, many times, the opinion that I think she rushes herself (or is forcefully rushed) to go through them and that therefore most of what she does now seems half-baked and not even thought through and all I get for that opinion here is criticism. In a sense, I feel like that makes me a more genuine fan than the people who simply stan for everything she does but demand that she releases albums and goes on tour non-stop just to prove to everyone that she's still on top. I don't give a rat's ass about her financial success and therefore I don't give a rat's ass about talking about anything else than her actual artistic output. And yes, I see a decline. That's not cynical. That's reflective. Actually talking about her artistic expression and what it's about is clearly not a priority for the majority of the fans here but that does not make me a bad seed who shouldn't be here. In fact, I should serve as an example.

This is a Gaga forum indeed. Not a fan forum. A discussion forum. And it seems like the people who actually want to discuss anything about her other than how much better she is than her peers are seen as cynical and not genuine. That's ****ed up. Seriously. Contrarily, I think the ass-kissing fans who can't deal with a non-superficial a--lysis of Gaga as an artist should ****ing leave and have a circle jerk on LM.com.
