I don't understand the argument about artists not needing money because they already have some  What needs to be taken into account also is that artists have a whole team AND more behind them that benefit greatly from the increased amount of money  Also, even if it was just to the artists, their lifestyle is more expensive than the average person's so they need that increased paycheck

this so much .... like poor sis Riri have to pay from 60k to 200k for a only one song each time she has to make album :laughga:

Where are the ones who called Taylor a greedy b*tch and who said that she was the only artist stupid enough to pull from Spotify??  default_zilla.png

:reductive:

she was smart to pull the plug from Spotify I have always said that because she is smart she choised besically the best time to do so and that benefited her .... but for someone like Madonna, who is struggling to crack the top 100 of iTunes and has to fall from stage so the media could notice her, could be a bit riskful to choose Tidal :proud:

For 19.99, I can buy 4 or 5 used CDs a month. Much better value.

The question is, how many people who've tried streaming will go back to illegal downloading.

No I know, and I'm not discussing what artists benefits more or less from a move like this (it is true that for Madonna it's risky). I just meant that it is really funny that when Taylor first put streaming services like Spotify on blast on her Wall Street OP-ed, 99% of the people in here called her a dumb and stupid greedy b*itch, but now that this became a real issue and almost the totality of relevant artists are making the move and calling for their music to be valued, the greedy talk has died and y'all are taking it serious, discussing it and etc.

Just wanted to point that out :ohwell:

Let's just say Taylor had the balls to raise the issue and most artists agreed with her and started do the same :fan:

I would NOT recommend quitting Spotify for an an older artist who is weak in streaming, like Madonna. Your older fans own hundreds of albums and aren't that into new music. They aren't paying 20 a month to stream what they already own.

But you can also pay $9.9 if $20 too much :laughga:
