I don't understand the argument about artists not needing money because they already have some  What needs to be taken into account also is that artists have a whole team AND more behind them that benefit greatly from the increased amount of money  Also, even if it was just to the artists, their lifestyle is more expensive than the average person's so they need that increased paycheck  ​

I would NOT recommend quitting Spotify for an an older artist who is weak in streaming, like Madonna. Your older fans own hundreds of albums and aren't that into new music. They aren't paying 20 a month to stream what they already own.
