Lady Palutena 3,147
It may have but that's a question we'll never know the answer to. I don't think Jewels & Drugs is a bad song per-se, what ruins it for me is the the amount of featured rappers. Rap is just not my favorite genre. Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis. Bradley 59,173
To all of you who are assuming that it would've done bad, no.Jewels N' Drugs appeals more to straight fans and the GP. It might not have done as good as Applause did but it wouldn't flop either. It could have actually made the second single slay even more cause by that time she would have gained more attention, both from her fans and the GP.I mean imagine Jewels N' Drugs at the VMAs and it being played everywhere on the radio, what a surprise. I mean imagine Jewels N' Drugs at the VMAs and it being played everywhere on the radio, what a surprise. Jewels N' Drugs is the least played song from ARTPOP on Spotify- that's already a bad sign. Radio wouldn't even touch it. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

ThatSLAYGUY 68
Maybe if it had like Kanye and Drake it would've caused alotta hype but idk People would've used the "Stealing Black Culture Card" and it would have been a mess tbh
VOLANTIS 16,406
Not every shocking factor ends in Favor This would kill her career. especially considering her management team falling apart and dwuw mess that will follow after. Klou 2,414
It probably would have been changed to a buzz single once it flopped out of the top 100 after a couple days and they would rush released another song.
