She probably would've been everywhere the next day and people would be talking about "That unexpected Gaga lead single". Some people would've loved it and some (fans) would've flipped out. The instrumental is not bad, and I like the song, but it's one of my least favorites from the album, it's just a song made for fun, but I think it could've been better if it featured T.I., Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West. I really do think that mix + DJ White Shadow would've been interesting.Jewels N' Drugs does not represent the whole album, but it is something that would've shown the world that Gaga can record something outside of her box. I mean, Katy scored a number one with Dark Horse and the trap-pop trend was just beginning in late 2013 TBH, you guys would have loved it. You guys would have been still like YAAAASSSSS GAGA!!!!!!! Don't fool yourselves. It's okay to admit that the thirst gets to us sometimes. TBH again, I didn't even like Applause at first because I thought it spoke too much about fame. I didn't like Jewels N Drugs because it also has a similar theme albeit in a more in your face manner. We would have grown to love it and it probably would have helped Gaga get more sales in the end because then the Heterosensuals would have found a common ground with the Homosensuals to love the song. That's what happened with Dark Horse, and, dare I say it, Black Widow. My straight guy friends love those songs and one of them also like Jewels N Drugs when I showed it to him All in all, it would have stilled garnered a similar amount of success and it would have been a great lead-up to Do What U Want or Gaga could have released MANiCURE as second or third single to continue the trap/R&B trend.
