​it depends on ur definition of heavy metal tho really, bc if it's what i'm thinking she'd lose A LOT of fans, especially her gay fans who only like plastic pop.

If she did grunge like Nirvana or alternative like artic monkeys (i know that's not heavy but still) i'd be happy, i still would love for her to explore New Wave or Ambient Pop tbh

​Yeah, that's true, but I think that pissing off her fans will also contribute to being taken seriously by the GP tbh I think that because Gaga has co-created the impression that you need to be a Little Monster (which has some pretty specific connotations for most people) to enjoy anything about her, a lot of people don't get into her deliberately.

Stepping away from the "I only wanna please my (super devoted, homos-xual, flamboyant, pop music only) fans" song might open up a new vibe where the world of the Gaga fan and the music lover are more mixed and flexible. I think rock/metal culture can really do that for her.

​i've been saying this since the end of the BTW era, she needs to compromise between fan oriented material & general public oriented material, as well as maybe include songs in their for her & her friends, I'd love it tbh. Plus her metal influence is kinda shown in a lot of TF & pre-fame songs & the BTW cover as well of course.

And me too  i'd love to hear her sing songs like So Happy I Could Die but more minimal and less vocal layers  it'd be like heaven

The only genre she can be respected in by a general public, I think, is hard rock, maybe leaning a bit more to the heavy metal side. Great female rock/metal vocalists are absolutely respected by the rock/metal community and I can imagine that her "cool" status will really rise a lot because of that.

If she goes for a more rock 'n roll party girl kinda look, mixed with some typical rock 'n roll glamour I think people will really start seeing her in a completely different light, that is if they don't accuse her of appropriating rock culture because her pop career ended in tragedy.

Some people in this world will only respect others if they dress in a certain traditional, basic way. I have no respect for those shallow, judgmental people and I doubt Gaga does either. If she changed the way she dressed specifically to appeal to the GP who doesn't even like her or "get" her message, I would be very disappointed and consider her a sellout.

​Oh I know, but I still saw tons of articles/comments about it anyway. For a normal person who doesn't keep him/herself updated about Gaga information (who does but a fan) it might have looked the opposite.
