Computer 10,973 Posted March 15, 2015 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Or will be?We've only seen her in short movie roles and in her own video intros (Marry The Night, G.U.Y., etc).In my opinion she seemed sort of flat/humorless in all of these. Granted she is supposed to be melodramatic in her videos and the movie roles have not been in comedies. But is she capable of playing more than these deadpan roles? Can she play a character of depth and complexity? Also, she knows how to express herself. Be it an overly s-xual performance, a speech on equal rights or even an interview - her whole artistry is theatre and she's doing great. And I suspect the same will be true for American Horror Story: Hotel. So while I think she can hold her own in front of a camera, I doubt she has the same versatility in acting as she does in music.
