So unfunny, but full of stupidness. And no, it's not  humour.

Yes, it is humor and not meant to be taken seriously. You just didn't find it funny. Welcome to the world where you won't find everything funny.

Not everybody in the world is American, sis.

And I don't know any of those things you've mentioned because it's not in my interest and I don't have to know everything about American culture.

I'm Swiss and I know all those things. It's not about being American, it's about having culture and knowing who you're talking about before posting dumb sh*t (I don't know if you posted or not, talking in general about the people in the thread)

He's entitled to his opinion, doubly so because it is an educated one.

He's also an old fart, so I'm sure he'd be grouchy to anyone who sings it save for Julie Andrews, whose singing voice is out of commission.

"You kids get off my lawn and stop ruining classics!" kinda teas.:koons:

Wow, I'm kind of shocked to be honest. Hammerstein was his mentor and he wrote a lot of lyrics for the Sound of Music with him and Rodgers, so I would his is the one of the few valid opinions on the matter and should be respected, also taking in consideration his importance and status in the Broadway community. That being said, I don't agree at all, but people dismissing him and going at him with the "who comments" :rip:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this is the most hilarious and delusional thing I've read all week :lmao:
He wrote West Side Story, Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, Follies, Gypsy and many others. Basically a lot of the most important musicals ever. He is one of the most respected and important living legends on Broadway and revolutionized modern musical theatre with the contents and lyrics of Company, one of the most influential pieces of musical theater of the 20th century, arguably since Hair in the 60s. So no to your whole post

Got 'em.

Well, he 'composes,' he doesn't 'sing'.

Julie sang those songs.

That's something to think about.

No, not at all. But people who are dismissing and acting as if he is a random old person, without having any idea who he is, are

Has nothing to do with being American. It's about people claiming that he "doesn't know **** about music", which is absurd. Like, do even the slightest bit of research and anyone can see that the man is clearly qualified.
