Gaga struggling to please the audience

Whenever I watch her trying (and partially failing) to get everyone to their feet I feel so empowered. Most of the people in this room had no idea they were watching a woman who would be one of the biggest stars in the world in less than two years time... It really shows that even if you're not slaying at every moment you still have the power to rule the world.

Kinda like when she tries to do a clap in the Jingle Ball performance of applause (before the second chorus...) It's really awk and falls through @2:01

Who's the other guy dancing? He looked so straight and it's so rare to see straight dancers around Gaga. I think Gaga should hire more straight dancers for her next era.

Also, she mentioned Just Dance was no.1 all over the world, she was already quite big then, why did the audience act like it was her first performance?

maybe all over the world meant everywhere but that country. But yeah it does seem weird, especially considering the people seemed like they would listen to top 40...

She was still  a one hit wonder at this point, I suppose. I know I probably wouldn't get up to dance if Tove Lo tried to convince me to.. But then again I definitely would if I was as close to her as the people in this performance were to Gaga.

I do miss her dancing like she did on Dancing With The Stars and like in this performance... It was back when she was dancing for her life, for The Fame. I wish she still approached every performance with that hungry attitude.

Maybe it's just the type of audience that she was performing to? But I do get your point :legend:

It seemed like a very intimate, judgmental setting to be honest. But hey she got quite a few people up at the end with her innovative dance-pop :legend:

Tove Lo's huge already! I would definitely get up for Tove Lo, despite that I only know the song 'Habits'. I felt so happy when I saw people getting up for her, it shows how acceptable the GP can be. (unlike the media who constantly attacks artists nowadays)

I couldn't think of a current up and comer to compare her to. I wouldn't stand up for Carly Rae Jepsen under any circumstances lol

True. New artists these years seem to fade so easily. The only ones who have been staying are Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Adele, Nicki Minaj and Beyonce. Even Ke$ha died down. Where's Robin Thicke, Gotye, Carly Rae Jepsen, PSY though?

Lana is around.. for now. Same goes for Miley we will see. I didn't think Sam Smith would last but the Grammys seems to think he's gonna be around for a while.. Once again though, we will see. Idk about Tove Lo's lasting power. Iggy barely can hold on and same goes for Charli XCX
