Would you tell a person who doesn't believe black people are equal to white people or that they should have the same rights- "oh well, it's okay, that's your belief"? I'm guessing no. Therefore why should it be okay to accept those beliefs and just let it go when it comes to discrimination against gay people, because black people have been beaten, killed and chased by dogs? Of course racism is a much bigger issue than gay marriage. But racism and homophobia are equally big. ​& i agree with you on that. I think i read so much of others stuff I started mixing the, up. but I agree with you homophobia & racism are the equal on how its both wrong. & neither will ever cease to exist. but gays have to learn the same thing black parents have been telling them since growing up. "In the real world of America or anywhere you go in the world, make sure you hold your head up & be proud of who & what you are." never let anyone tell you other wise, because at the end of the day, it will be you and that grave.. not you, the grave & they nay sayers. You cannot call racism apple & oranges. Like I said before many people have DIED & when I say DIED i mean killed, burnt, tortured, skinned, beaten, robbed, chopped in pieces... just for the same rights as the white man. Gay marriage has not been through any of that and they never will be because they have someone in office fighting for them to be accepted. you know how long it too for african americans to get someone in office to fight for them? Racism dates back way more than homophobia or gay marriage ever will. & yes I am passionate about this stuff because I have many black friends who tell me about the issues of being black & I cry with them because I care. I always think "what if I or my family was in that situatuion" I would want someone there crying with me. someone who care about how I feel. & I GET THAT gay marriage is an issue... but TO ME again I say this TO ME.... Racism is something that will always be a bigger issue than gay marriage. i would like to PM you more about the situatuion but I doubt you would want to further this conversation. Love you tho ​The same thing is currently happening to gays. Literally everyday people are stoned to death, tortured, etc. I can legit send you a video of gays being burned to death in West Africa.
