By a vote of 51-28 the Slovene Parliament has just amendedthat country's Marriage & Family Relations Act to legalize same-s-x marriage, becoming the 12th European nation to do so. All but Iceland are members of the European Union. How do you like them apples, World Congress of Families? I'm being told by a Slovene JMG reader that the "evil hounds of hell" are already calling for a referendum to repeal today's action.

That's so shocking.

I hope there isn't a referendum like there was in Croatia. It was awful because it built up another conservative party just like in France.

Even if they did win the referendum, a new Family Law was passed and gay people now have equal rights when they get married, only it's not allowed to be called marriage because of the homophobic referendum.

Ultimately, we're moving forward even though right wing extremists are multiplying. IT GETS BETTER, even in ex-Yugoslavia!
