SKYER 2
Meh. I had hopes she would have taken a step back from her vocal comfort zone for this album. Perhaps recording some songs with higher tempos and catchy beats so she can be seen and heard in a fresh new light. No bashing here; she is great at what she does, just hope she was more versatile in what she releases.
juicyjuicy 1,994
too early to judge on snippets alone...but almost every song sounds the same. a bit disappointed. west coast >>>>>>>>>>>>> all other songs atm. but Born To Die album >>>>> West Coast :/ excited to hear Florida Kilos, Sad Girls, and Fked My Way in full. Desperado 2,439
Brooklyn Baby available on iTunes US https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/brooklyn-baby/id880747579?i=880747583 Meh. retroglamx 5,177
Come one people you can't judge an album based on PREVIEWS... They all sound so promising to me. Full of sadness, regret and a love story behind them. This album is just screaming to be featured on a film and I love that about Lana, everything sounds so dramatic and straight out of a movie. Pink flamingos always fascinated me.
retroglamx 5,177
I love this so much! Barrie's vocals blew me away, I was totally not expecting that... Pink flamingos always fascinated me.
Redstreak 6,653
This may actually be my favorite song of hers ever. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
Patriah 89
I've only listened to West Coast and Shades Of Cool...I'm going to try to not hear any song until the full album is out, I want to surprise myself!
blacklistedd 599
This is a better album than Born To Die. BTD is kind of grossly overrated especially by my fellow homos-xuals. You all appreciated the aesthetic and the drama of it all but what she delivered was for the most part one dimensional and at moments even stupid, whereas with this album it seems all of her talk actually matches her work. I think certain reactions about this album from a lot of people that were obnoxiously "living" for the first points out the tasteless (sort of anyway). Liaison 4
I'm really excited to hear her cover of "The Other Woman". It sounds very promising. :saira:
ryanmonster 28
after listening to the snippets with good headphones, F***** My Way Up to the Top sounds amazing
Liaison 4
So trying to a--lyze the lyrics now... it almost sounds like this song is her way of legitimizing herself to people who think she is unauthentic "I'm talking bout my generation, talking bout that newer nation, and if you don't like it you can beat it baby, beat it baby. You never liked the way I said it, If you dont get it then forget it, Cause i don't have to ****ing explain it" and then the chorus is like.... **** you, my boyfriend is in a band... i sing lou reed's music, i get down to beat poetry, what else do you want from me? All in relation to her boyfriend, who.. ya know? shes actually cooler than he is, so i don't get why you're dissing me. I'm a brooklyn baby (b---h ) What are some other people's thoughts of the songs meaning? I'm probably so far off This song is amazing though. Trying not to spoil myself. I like this a--logy. Seems about right.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I like this a--logy. Seems about right. Thanks. Hipster Anthem tbh. After listening to all the snippets, Brooklyn Baby is probably going to be my favorite. I could be wrong but its honestly already one of my favorite Lana songs, its amazing and unique, lol. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
