Oh well it's the Jewels n Drugs of this album for me . Hopefully West Coast will be the Fashion! Of this album... Sucks at first but then grows on you. But besides those 2 tracks I'm REALLY EXCITED! I'm so happy black beauty made the cut! It is about being in love with someone who is depressed, at least that is how I interpret it. Lana is singing about dying her hair dark, painting her nails black, etc. to fit in with her lover's dark world. Her lover can't see how beautiful life is, he is depressed. Opulence 1,380 Posted June 7, 2014 Share Posted June 7, 2014 The album as a whole has a very definite maintained feel - slow, disturbed Jazz, I can picture her singing the songs on a stage in a small Jazz bar. There's a missing sense of dramatic strings over heavy drum beats from the previous albums but I'm digging the new sound!
