Leak Del Rey

Lana Del Leak

I don't understand how it's like everyday something leaks.

Do you think they choose singles for the first album wisely?

I think Off to the Races and Summertime Sadness were 2 standouts, yet they weren't among first 4 singles.

Well something doesn't leak everyday. She happens to have a large amount of demos, variations of demos, alt takes, unreleased, remixes etc that were stolen, that's all.

Speaking of which, how do you go about finding a person to buy these tracks from? I mean not that there's much left at this point  :toofunny:

I think OTTR as a single would have been an unnecessary risk (in the label's eyes) when the album is so consistent in other places, and in line with what people enjoyed about Video Games etc.

I could see saying that if the singles all slayed like Katy or Adele, but (while they did great at selling the album in Europe) don't you think having released singles be so samey made it hard for them all to perform well?

I just bought the album after being won over by Summertime Sadness, first successful single here.

Do we have song titles for the new album tonight?

Listening to "Born to Die" tonight, rediscovering my love for that album. :music:

I was wondering.

Does Born to Die lack a single as strong as Royals? Or was Lana's sound just too alien for US market in early 2012, in which case she created the taste that allowed Royals to smash so hard?

Video Games was huge. Blue Jeans was well received, as was the BTD single.

Well the singles they did from BTD were "same-y" and it still became the most succesful selling / performing album in the UK in 2012

isnt St. Tropez party girl?

No, St. Tropez is a completely different song.

Party Girl is a rough demo that has the Daytona Meth instrumental and lyrics from Us Against the World
