This is a much bigger round than Season One of last year, so we have a lot to listen to and enjoy during Season Two so far! We have currently, as I type this, 11 active contestants, 1 dropout, and 4 people who haven't turned in thier submissions. 15 total contestants. Here are Liam's, mine are coming in a few. We have some good audio mixers on our hands here! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LukeHaken Creativity – 4/5 Originality – 5/5 Overall Sound – 2.5/5 Comments – Points for creativity and originality. I never would’ve thought of mashing these two up! The overall sound though was a little hard for my ears, but better than I expected it to be. It’s next to impossible to mix a song in 4/4 time with a song in 3/4 time, and I feel that you did a good job trying to do that. JV2612 Creativity – 4/5 Originality – 3/5 Overall Sound – 4/5 Comments – When I saw the title of the song I was skeptical, but oh my goodness, I love these two songs even more when they’re mashed together. I am totally putting this on my iTunes right naooo. I like that you put part of Ke$ha’s lyrics in the mash-up! Flow was good and I can’t stop listening to it. Joe Matthews Creativity – 4/5 Originality – 5/5 Overall Sound – 4/5 Comments – I didn’t think it could work, but you proved me wrong. It flows amazingly well and the songs fit together like a puzzle. The only thing I’m sad about is that you didn’t put the “Half psychotic, sick hypnotic†part in it. (That’s my favorite part of the song :haha:) But besides that, great job. U-GO-BOY Creativity – 5/5 Originality – 4/5 Overall Sound – 4/5 Comments – The production is great. The vocals in the beginning get a little off, but overall I really enjoyed listening! The “How? Hoooowww?†part is still stuck in my head. So catchy with that instrumental. kp_centi Creativity – 5/5 Originality – 5/5 Overall Sound – 3.5/5 Comments – Overall it’s a great listen. Some of the vocals (i.e. in the beginning) get off a little bit, but they catch on. Also, the background vocals from the instrumental sometimes get in the way (that’s not your fault though). I don’t know who Girls’ Generation is, but I might just have to find out after listening to this mash-up. :haha: Maix Creativity – 4/5 Originality – 5/5 Overall Sound – 5/5 Comments – I was so excited to listening to this. This is probably the best one I’ve heard so far in the competition. Execution was spot on and the flow was excellent. Ha4sFe4er Creativity – 5/5 Originality – 5/5 Overall Sound – 3/5 Comments – For the two songs you chose, it was a creative and original mash-up and at some points was very enjoyable. The vocals key though was a little scary at first. She sounds so manly. It’s hard to mash these two songs because of the fact that they’re in drastically different keys and the layout of each of the songs is very different. tyleratemyheart Creativity – 4/5 Originality – 3/5 Overall Sound – 4/5 Comments – YES! MORE KE$HA AND GAGA MASHES. You can never go wrong with one of them. I feel like its lacking a little bit of the ballad-ness because of the bpm, but besides that I see nothing wrong with it. Its smooth all the way through and it makes my ears smile. LGVHD Creativity – 4/5 Originality – 4/5 Overall Sound – 3.5/5 Comments – If the EOG acapella was smoother, then it would sound better. That’s not totally your fault though. Some spots of the instrumental were a little choppy, but overall I think it sounds pretty swagginful! MonsterVSAnimal Creativity – 5/5 Originality – 5/5 Overall Sound – 4/5 Comments – MARINA AND GAGA It’s so beautiful. How you worked the slowed down part was great and very smooth. The only critique I have is that the acapella is pretty quiet compared to the instrumental. If you decided to turn the acapella up, please tell me and give me a DL so I can have it on my iTunes forever. marcirawr Creativity – 4/5 Originality – 4/5 Overall Sound – 3/5 Comments – Overall its good. I like the autotune effect you put on the vocals. Sometimes the vocals get off, or there are some choppy points, but putting those aside, it’s cool to listen to!
