Born This Way is criminally overrated by this fan base.

I understand that BTW is messy, the production is noisy, all-over-the-place, and I agree that production-wise it is her worst. It sound rushed at times, the videos are messy, but... idk, I really like the braveness of the era, and the messy aspects just make it more human. When I looked the cover, I immediately loved it. It's one of my best covers ever. The concept is pure genius and the fact that it seems cheaply made on Paint gives it a "Do It Yourself" vibe that is simply amazing. The songs are the same, sometimes a little rushy but it just gave a real feeling to everything, almost like we fans could do the same if we wanted. Musically-wise, when I think of Gaga as a true singer with an amazing voice, as a pop legend, as someone who's capable of making timeless pieces of music, from pop, eletronic tunes to edgy rock-inspired tracks with power vocals, it's the Born This Way era that come to my mind. I agree that ARTPOP is more cohesive, good produced and has more catchy sounds, and that TFM is her most iconic piece, but I really prefer BTW. It's messy as hell, pretentious and all that stuff, I really understand that, but I think it's her more substancial work. It's her at her wildest. It's passioned and inspirational. It's when she was really free to do whatever she wanted. And she made that, which is not perfect at all, but it's honest and I love it. Apart of that, BTW Ball was the only tour who came to Brazil, and I went to the show and it was an awesome experience. I will never, ever forget that night.

That being said, I do think her best work is yet to come. However, I've been a fan since Poker Face era, even before Paparazzi video or 09 VMA's, when she was just a new pop girl around. So I basically followed every Gaga release or performance since then. And even if I'm obsessed with her for the past SIX OLD YEARS ♥, I have to say: none of her albums are perfect. All of them have some cringeworthy lyrics, some messy moments. She's young, she's always learning, always improving, and I'm honored to make part of all of that. I believe in her future even more than I love her past.

Both albums are amazing in their own right, I think what BTW did for the millions of people who felt like they didn't belong automatically gives it epic status, while I feel like ARTPOP really pushed the boundaries of pop music :-)

All of her albums are extremely well made. This thing of you trying to bring one down and call it trash is super stupid and unnecessary.

If you were here when BTW came out, everyone was very disappointed with it. BTW was her most underrated album until ARTPOP came out. BTW is my personal favorite.

Filler This Overrated is her worst album, full of fillers and songs that sound dated and boring. It is the trend to love it like it's the best thing ever happened, but don't worry, ARTPOP will be considered the best thing ever once her next album is released. That's little monsters for yall  :giggle: :giggle:

you're wrong :lmao: born this way has no fillers and just because you can't get into different kind of music doesn't make a song a filler :wtf:

There's a theory that you can like one of her albums without hating on another

It's still being researched, but it sounds like a sure thing

Judas sounds like a rehash of bad romance in terms of theme and production, born this way sounds an awful lot like express yourself. Judas' beat was bought from another artist, and many questioned how much of the album was "influenced" by Madonna.

Oh look, a pressed stan of one of the lessor girls trying to poison the factual ideology that Born This Way is a mammoth, epic & significant pop album.

Pls.

Please don't tell me to stop. My comments were harsh, but I'm just adressing the critics and saying I understand where they come from. I don't think the whole album is messy, but a few songs indeed are. And I don't really care, cause BTW is still my favorite Gaga album.

TF>BTW>TFM>>>>>ARTPOP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>C2C

BTW deserves all the praise it gets. 6 weeks at #1, and the message is beautiful and it was very daring at the time it was releasd. BM, GH, HML, Scheibe are all amazing tracks and are better than anything on ARTPOP to me.

You know what? I still can listen to every BTW song, and I never get bored!!! But whenever I hear an ARTPOP song it makes me feel like it has been released for ages. So BTW was something different. It has that "aura" that never turns off.

REALLY?¿

It was terrible. You'd be surprised. BTW had to grow on everyone over the year following its release.
