daviddarko 144
She's been preparing for it every day since she was 13. Â And it paid off
daviddarko 144
That would also explain why she was using a Vick's waterless asthma vaporizer in the one picture she posted  I knew she could sing high, but I didn't think she could sustain notes that high/completely stop her vibrato for like 5 secs. Lush Life would've been a lot better without the excessive vibrato in the held notes This. me too

aaronyoji 2,055
That would also explain why she was using a Vick's waterless asthma vaporizer in the one picture she posted  I knew she could sing high, but I didn't think she could sustain notes that high/completely stop her vibrato for like 5 secs. Lush Life would've been a lot better without the excessive vibrato in the held notes i feel like she actually balanced her vibrato well for lush life, at least in the pbs performance. there was a lot of long, strong, non vibrato held notes in that performance that resonated incredibly.
gagaconvert 68
Well the practice paid off BIG TIME :nooo: :nooo: :nooo: Hell yeah it did!! She is such a professional and her performance was PERFECTION  This line in the article also has me rather excited: "She said that if she pulls it off, it's going to change the focus of her career and she pulled it off" ...Please let this mean we'll be seeing more of this sort of singing from her!
Logan 20,743
It was well worth it.
mic 1,415
TELL her Ot: I didn't know she had vocal coach but the work done is impressive!
Nicole 1,809
The hard work paid off, words can't describe how happy I am with the performance. I've seen countless tributes for many of my favourite musicals but none have managed to make me feel the way I do when I watch them. She really immersed herself into the world of the sound of music and I hope she does more performances like these in the future
Highway10 1,072
so is there gonna be another big performance in 6 months time? Â

djBuffoon 12,136
And it paid off. She now has a whole new arsenal of skills to work with, in addition to ones she already had.
NIKE 274
the hard work did wonders for her voice she sounded absolutely beautiful last night
giskardsb 12,565
This demonstrates that vocal coaches really do work. How she went from singing from her nose to vocals like Sunday night makes me her. Incredible determination. She's had the same vocal coach since she was 14. She moves her voice through whichever resonant zone she feels like. She has only occasionally been nasaly and far more examples of not through her career. heavyMetalGAGA 65
i feel like she actually balanced her vibrato well for lush life, at least in the pbs performance. there was a lot of long, strong, non vibrato held notes in that performance that resonated incredibly.  I read that her vocal coach mentioned that she told him that if she pulled the performance off, it was going to change the focus of her career. What do you think she meant by that? Less auto tune and theatrics for her upcoming solo release? I would totally be here for a rock/metal/new wave influenced album that didn't have to follow any annoying "pop" industry rules.  Btw, here is the link for the article: http://www.etonline.com/awards/oscars/160158_lady_gaga_worked_with_a_vocal_coach_every_day_for_6_months_for_epic_sound_of_music_performance/
