Popero22 8
If I could only go back to the time Gaga announced she was releasing Born This Way after successfully ending TFM era. Sigh****Everyone was following her every step. She was on top of the world! Whenever the first single was finally released. Excitement was rampant in the air everytime Born this Way was played on the radio. *Tears of joy would come down my face and an overwhelming sense of PRIDE would take over. I remember Being only 18 at the time, just graduated high school, trying to find myself. Filled with anxiety due to keeping my s-xuality from my religious family for so long and it's amazing how a pop record can change someone for the better! I LOVED her, she saved me and gave me strength to finally come out to everyone. I know it was God's purpose and placed her in my life to inspire me and give me strength bc I was going through hoots of personal hardships. The time was perfect to come out! Radio was filled with self empowerment songs (BTW, firework, we r who we r, raise your glass) 2011 was a GREAT POSITIVE year for Pop music and it will forever be in my heart. Anyone else felt it? Does anyone else feel nostalgic whenever they hear a BTW song? For example TEOG was playing at the mall yesterday and I couldn't help but tear up a little bit. Pop 4,541
Born This Way was truly bigger than life. It wasn't just an album, it was a lifestyle. I connected to that album like I never connected to a piece of music ever before. It truly was the most honest and raw piece of art that defined me. Guest
I love the album and enjoyed most the era, but I don't think I'd want BTWGa back. I started getting tired of her toward the end, I don't know what it was. I just totally checked out from being a stan during The Born This Way Ball, like I didn't even know she broke her hip until like a month after. Shaney 5,515
Born This Way is a huge part of my life that will live on in me forever. But it isn't depressing, very nostalgic, but not depressing. ARTPOP was great and by the looks of it, Gaga is about to get big again and release a great new album.
