To calm your souls, I am not promoting that the attack was good. I am simply saying that we need to learn from these attacks so that they don't happen again in the future. Drawing offensive pictures of religious figures or respected political or celebrities is not right but messing with one's religion does not constitute freedom of speech. If a Muslim were to do the same with Jesus Christ, Christians would want to attack Muslims for the exploitation. You have to see this on both sides of the spectrum and see into the future how certain events will affect others later on and how they will react

Hopefully, this will show not to draw offensive caricutures of religious figures. Such figures are sensitive, especially to Muslims. There is a limit to freedom of speech before it becomes offensive and susceptible to conflict. Although, this attack just goes to show how one mistake will follow you for the rest of your life and how no religion is either wrong or right. It has become apparent that no place is safe from terrorism but promoting hypocrisy is no way to resolve the problem

we don't need to learn anything from it. islamic crackpots do. they need to learn that we don't bend the knee to violence. especially not over drawings. drawings. say that out loud. open microsoft paint and draw something and think about what you'd need to do to end up making someone want to kill you. and all that is is a drawing of a human shaped figure called mohammed. you need to let it sink in what we're dealing with.

1. No, we don't let them win. That will only make them stronger in what they are doing and soon we are all walking in burqas. Full freedom of speech on religions should be allowed.

2. I'm offended by organized religion, should I know go around and kill innocent follower of those cults? No of course not. I tolerate them in what they are doing even if they are saying I'm going to hell.

I think the issue that everyone has with what you said is that it implies (even if you didn't mean it) that we should fear potential attacks for things that might be offensive to others. I personally can be offended to the pits and will not go out and shoot people because of it. There is something fundamentally wrong with people who feel the need to shoot up any place or person that does not comply with their beliefs. And I personally don't want to live in a world where I have to fear what I say because I might offend someone who will come and kill me. Art is expression and it doesn't always have to be respectful. I sometimes too find some of these artworks distasteful, but I believe they have every right to create them.

Not bad enough they need to kill people but it's a pretty big middle finger to their entire religion which focuses more on a connection with God than Muhammad who was simply a prophet, nothing more and nothing less. Many Muslims go about their day but society cannot just oppress an entire people and not expect conflict eventually

"oppress" seriously ? Jews got oppressed in Europe in the 20th century, but Muslims don't get oppressed at all.  

If they are focused on a connection with God they shouldn't oppress their own woman or people of other religions or s-xuality.

do you actually think this is a point that supports you in any way? when you "grabbed a textbook" to grasp islam, did you realise that islam is something muslims believe in? muslims. and we're not all muslims? what other holy books did you grab and decide to modify your life around? just islam? sounds like you're islamophobic. and such strict interpretations are rejected by many muslims. especially imposing islamic law upon non-believers. by all means dislike infidels who are going to hell for not becoming muslims for drawing pictures of mohammed. but don't bloody well kill them! and outright condemn the killers! do not give them AN INCH.

Just heard about the terror attack after I got up from a little afternoon nap.

Can't wait to be killed by the Islamist scum because I celebrate and live for freedom of speech with hundreds of thousands of other attendees at the Rose Monday Parade here in Düsseldorf!
