Christina Aguilera responds to Caviar Ratchet new album

What's embarrassing about Bionic is to fail with dance-pop in the the middle of a dance-pop boom, when pop girls were having hits all over the place. It was a decent album, so I think the problem was Xtina's image, or backlash to the Bionic video, or giving up the campaign so quickly.

The problem was exactly the fact that her label wanted to add pop commercials tracks in that album because they were afraid that the album was too much experimental, and so for the look-imagine.

But in fact the best tracks of that album are the experimental ones.

Bionic flopped because it was ahead of its time, she is pushing music boundaries and the GP simply can't handle it

True, she was one of the first to have a Minaj feature (after Mariah), M.I.A. collaboration, Sia collaboration and Ladytron.

That album is a pearl but sadly with a very bad management.

"Caviar Rachet." Sounds interesting.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

"Ahead of its time." She said the same thing about Bionic and look how well that turned out. Still, I actually enjoyed Bionic.

Working with indie artists doesn't make it ahead of its time. M.I.A, Ladytron, Le Tigre and Sia were already veterans and very well-known in the indie scene. All you had to do is go to any gay nightclub, search the internet or go to England really and they would be played constantly. Christina didn't discover them. Bionic could have been a great album if it wasn't for her label wanting to intrude but saying it was ahead of its time is bull****.

You're right but she was the first to featured them in a major pop release.

Especially Sia (that we all know how much requested she became in writing songs or features after Bionic).

This reminds me of when Ke$ha said her album would be rock inspired then we got a ton of Dr. Luke dance tracks :smh:

I'm guessing you're being sarcastic based on those comments she made :rip: It wasn't as bad of an album as people say, but it's about as ahead of it's time as ARTPOP was

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

Bionic was an amazing album. Lotus was a good album

I find Christina extremely underrated. I'm super excited for this and the fact that she is very confident with the material makes me even more excited.

I somehow doubt she's created this sound she speaks of. Christina doesn't do production. I know it claims that she did some on Stripped and B2B but I don't know what that's defined as seeing as she doesn't play an instrument or knows how to operate electronic equipment. Some of her most successful singles weren't written by her either. All the people who helped create Bionic put their personal stamps all over it, not her. So, I'm sure she'll have a team of people who've helped her create this sound but will want all the credit for it. I am intrigued to hear how apparently original this music is and that promo photo is compelling (that little figurine is from a 2010 shoot she did from Out magazine, I believe). If it truly is a promo image, can you imagine if it was the album cover? That would certainly be a pop album cover unlike anything we'd ever seen before. If she calls the album Caviar Ratchet too, I'll commend her for having the guts (she's got too many one word album titles, anyway, we need a change). I still don't know if it sounds amazing or cringey. I can just imagine how it'll be treated if it flops again with a title like that.
