This is probably the only video that were gonna get this era since madonna barely makes videos anymore :smh:

You'd think she would still care about them and not allot a mere two days for the making of it. Especially coming from a woman who pioneered the format. Plus the video is going to be around forever, long after the song is released and does what it supposed to on the charts, etc. If I was going to make something to last for posterity, i would at least do something with more meaning, at least once in a while. She hasn't done one in at least ten years. And it can even be done in two days but you know the whole process is rushed with her.

I think I am ruined slightly because my boyfriend is always showing me cool music videos on youtube from artists who have nowhere near the budget as Madonna, or connections. It just takes a simple concept, nothing more. Not even a massive budget because so much can be done in post production now that used to cost millions of dollars to make.

I don't mean to completely sh*t on the video, I like the look of it and the dancing, but this is so something I would see an artist doing on a second or third single when they've already pulled the big guns out for a debut single from an album.

Like I said pages before however, I have come to never expect much from Madonna anymore. I think she is so hurt by bad reviews from her acting career in film, she gave up on video too, which sucks because she really can emote well in video. And it's not like the acting has to be extensive, but at least have a simple CONCEPT or simple STORYLINE once in a decade of making videos.

Maybe, maybe maybe this will happen for a song like 'Ghosttown'.... something like 'Power of Good-bye' I would be happy with even, she and a lover together somewhere, EMOTING around a STORYLINE. It doesn't take much.

We'll never see the likes of Ray of Light music videos again, five music videos.  What a glorious run, all stunningly brilliant.  The cold color scheme to Power of Goodbye, the blue hue to it.  Frozen, pure artistry.  Ray of Light, so frenetic.   The amazing Nothing Really Matters, bizarrely brilliant.  Drowned World (Substitute for Love), so personal.

What a truly creative time for Madonna on all levels.  Sigh.

Yes it certainly was... and so many other videos from her career too. Anyway, like I said, I don't mean to sh*t on this one because it certainly is something cool looking and a bit different for her... and who knows, maybe she'll do something with a storyline coming up. God knows there are some extremely amazing songs on 'Rebel Heart' for her to do it.

Hey, at least she's not doing a lazy video against a white wall like Celebration and Give It 2 Me. LOL  Athough, I will always love both songs.  Pure dance Madonna.

Front and back reminds me of Applause LOL. With the curtains stage and applause (obviously). She dances like a granny at some point, and the camera effect is dizzy. She looks stunning and confident, that's what i like about the video.

The music video is amazing!! :woot:

The Applause comparisons are IDIOTIC.

They do the same with AB. Ugh, when will they stop

The Applause comparisons are IDIOTIC.

I'm saying this purely objectively and non biased....

It truly does remind me of Applause

But it just reminds me of it I don't think it was intentionally copying and I'm not gonna go the Madonna route and be bitter and call it "reductive"
