SpaceAce 1,058 Posted January 26, 2015 Share Posted January 26, 2015 I can't imagine having a fan base that's filled with people who dissect everything about me. she looks good... she looks bad... she look like she gained weight... she looks like she lost weight... is she working out? is she smoking again? she needs to fire so and so... why is her wig so ugly? she needs to wear this wig more often... I prefer this look I hate this look she wears too much makeup... omg she's coming back to slay... These are most of the comments that you'll find in a post here that has paparazzi photos of her walking from her car to her home after a day of work. I cant understand how some can say they respect Gaga and her artistry yet still feel the need to comment on every aspect of her appearance. Especially when she's just living her life, like her walking her dog or spending time with friends. The way fans like to dissect her career is just as disappointing. I'm surprised she didn't get sick of it sooner. Some of you need to figure out why you support her and if it's for the right reasons. Your focus on her image and whether or not she's "slaying" the charts makes it seem like her work doesn't matter if it's not selling. To be on topic and answer your question: yeah, she's definitely a little distant now and it's most likely a really good thing for her and her creativity. I'm not implying that you didn't experience it that way, but we've read account after account of how personal and open Gaga was during her M&Gs this past tour. Most importantly, Gaga went through an episode of major depression just a year ago. Maybe she found out that reading here or at ggd wasn't exactly the best for her recovery process. Personally, I feel that she has been more open about her life and with sharing her real life with us over the last era. Gaga communicates with her fans and comes out to greet them on media stops, etc. way more than any other artist at her popularity level that I have ever seen. The majority reported feeling that Gaga was open and very much personal in their M&G. I guess she can do what she wants but it's dissapointing that I honestly don't feel much connection to her anymore. I used to but not really anymore unfortunately. She was at her best and happiest before the hardcore fanbase really formed and she started treating them like her children (post-TFM, pre-BTW).
