Security has been increased around Jewish institutions, particularly in the capital Stockholm, police spokesman Lars Bystroem said. Sweden has previously drawn international criticism for not taking threats to its Jewish community seriously. “Saepo (the Swedish security service) and the police believe that we must have more protection and they are usually scrupulous in deploying their resources,†Posner-Koeroesi said. “They show a good understanding of our situation. That is important because members of the community are worried,†she added. According to the Council of Jewish Communities in Sweden, half of the country’s 20,000 Jews live in Stockholm. I don't know any jew, neither do my parents. I don't think there's a synagoge anywhere near me either. About 0,1% of West-Europe is jewish, for almost everybody it wouldn't make a difference I don't feel their culture at all... Of course it would be sad though that they have to go because they feel unsafe, in some districts in this country you'll be discriminated against if you wear one of these Jewish caps. We were never big in numbers but we were always impactful. Modern Jewish mentality & culture are semi-western so you probably wouldn't see or feel anything different or special, but its enough to look at our achievements as people to understand we're driven by education and success. From the Maimonides & Spinoza, thorugh Einstein and even 'till these days with Mark Zuckerberg, Lary Page & Sergey Brin - Jewish mentality is here for hardworking geniuses who contributed a lot to human race. Modern Jewish mentality & culture are semi-western so you probably wouldn't see or feel anything different or special, but its enough to look at our achievements as people to understand we're driven by education and success. From the Maimonides & Spinoza, thorugh Einstein and even 'till these days with Mark Zuckerberg, Lary Page & Sergey Brin - Jewish mentality is here for hardworking geniuses who contributed a lot to human race.
