Pretty much this.

Uhhh Bey sells out almost every show she does. And her album sold 800k in 3 days. Of course none of her singles did well on radio for the Beyonce era....everyone bought the album before there were any singles. Bey said herself that she's not a singles artist.

sooo many damn artists sold more albums than her since the 2010. and tour wise? did u see the amount of promo she has for on the run and still its not even close to the highest grossing tours. they rated her the most influential artist for the influence that when someone has money she can go big.

Her most shocking moment was in 2010 with the meat dress, so that alone was way more influential than most of the top 3...

When you say meat dress, you think Gaga...

2010 was the biggest year of her carreer, she got 3 grammys, 8 Vmas and bunch of other awards..

So yeah she definitely belongs to the top 3, or at least top 5.... :madge:

that can be debated. 2009 is when she was always on the radio and its when she was gettig fresh new attention for being the new IT girl. Its like she could do no wrong. She also sold about as many albums in 2009 as in 2010. Its also when she did the most interviews and TV apearances :coffee:

Im anycase sure, 2010 was a big year for her too. Id say he second biggest (meat dress alone doesnt make it her most defining year. But lets say even if it was for the sake of the argument so what???

Its 2015. Its been half a decade since 2010 and lets be real, in this decade 2010 was her ONLY huge year. Her years after that were decent but hardly at the top

U expect her to get top spots with only 1 huge year this decade?

U all gotta stop being biased just cuz u love her. Other artists were bigger and more talked about this decade and admit it or not they all influence trends

The very beggining of Gagas carrer cant count for this list cuz its from 2010 onward... And reality is, she was among the biggest forces (hence why she still made top 10)... But top 3???? Really???

Uhm the On The Run Tour was less than 20 dates. It was a very exclusive tour. But each stadium was nearly sold out.

The Mrs. Carter Show Tour also sold out every venue to my knowledge.

Your argument is incredibly corrupt. Selling a ton of singles doesn't make you a defining artist.

Meghan Trainor's two singles have probably sold more than any of Beyonce's recent singles but do you think that makes her a defining artist?

I'm sure Party Rock Anthem sold more than XO.

I'm sure Call Me Maybe sold more than Partition.

I'm sure Fancy sold more than Flawless.

But none of those artists are more defining than Beyonce.

Beyonce is simply the most defining artist because she has so much power and influence, despite her single sales.

Now stop replying to my posts with your ignorant nonsense.

She was huge in Europe and till now she is still very big here. I'd put OD above her though. They were arguably bigger.

BTW Era was huge though. It was the second bigger Era after 21 in 2011 and that only because 21 was an one in a lifetime smash album.

btw was pretty huge still but already a decline. Especially when u take into account that since the GP wasnt into her as much... Despite heavy promotion she didnt have the kind of impact or influence on the industry she had before with starting trends etc

And 2012? 2013? 2014?...

Some years virtually nothing happened... And even 2014 with the whole Tony Collab... While that grabbed attention and the album sold decently, u still cant compare it to some mega stars

If u compiled this list starting in 2008 i might agree she should be at the top or mear the top...

But strupping away 2008 & 2009 and leaving only 2010 onward... She still had a lot of impact yes but so did her competitors... And the last 3 years (more than half the time period measured) shes been pretty dead...

So how can fans not he biased when they insist she should be at the top???

Beyoncé remaining one of the most overrated acts of all time imo.

And I am over Billboard licking Kanye's ass.  He hasn't done anything worth a **** in years.

You don't know anything about music

You might as well delete your account and stop talking about music for the rest of your life

How did Beyoncé define the 2010s? The only real hit and moment she had was with Drunk in Love and releasing an album secretely on iTunes. 4 was a flop for her and Telephone was released in 2010, not the decade of the 2010s which began 2011 whcih saw Born This Way's epicness and Katy's rise through the charts And Nicki's rise to superstardom. As for Arcad Fire and Kendrick Lamar, really? I get Kendrick but Arcade Fire definitive of this decade :bye:

It's not just all about the hits probably in this list.  Beyonce was picked for many reasons.  She has dominated when you add all the elements up together.

Arcade is an indie band that has crossed into huge venues, which is a big deal, and came out of nowhere to win Best Album of the Year in 2011, when bands are ignored so much at the Grammys these days.  They are great artists.  They've paid their dues building a great catalogue the last decade to get here and deserve all the accolades.   Win Butler is a tremendous songwriter with his wife and they paved their own path with their visions for their music.  Win is opinioated and I love many of his interviews.  His brother is amazing on stage also, as are all the musicians they have on stage. They totally switched it up and experimented in their last album with synth.  There have been so many articles about this band and as small indie artists what they've accomplished and speaks to a whole generation growing up to them.  They have a lot to say in their music that speaks to people and great melodies.   I'm sure some dippy pop act should have been here instead.  LOL  IMO They should have been higher. They are electric in concert.  One of the best live bands in the world, with many trying to emulate them.   There is a reason the great David Bowie is a huge fan.

Bow down.  Arguably, Ready to Start is a single that brought them huge success starting this decade, but I love the combination of these two songs together live, a one-two punch.
