people on this site are so delusional.

I agree, how can anyone think ARTPOP is a better, deeper album than The Fame Monser?

GAGA: "For those of you that know and love ARTPOP, welcome, this is the ultimate experience. For those of you that just came to hear the hits, you must not know me very well. (...) With this album, I felt free. If you love ARTPOP, you have no idea how we are so similar."

I'm pretty sure that's not the reason why most people dislike ARTPOP, myself included.

I know. I'm just saying that maybe some people failed to understand ARTPOP. The same thing happened with BORN THIS WAY.

Now I totally get that some fans like THE FAME MONSTER better. However, that doesn't mean ARTPOP is worse. I personally think TFM has a better production. However, ARTPOP in return has better choruses and embraces a more artistic and freer theme, both in sound and lyrics.

In the end I just can't believe how some think TFM is a better work than ARTPOP. But I respect every point of view.

At least you're being respectful about it, I can appreciate that.. unlike the OP. :)

in terms of quality and production, I find ARTPOP is wayyy better TFM has too much static in it's beats and don't get me started on the mixing for DITD's chorus  :rip:

ARTPOP deserved the same success TFM got tho tbh

People are saying TFM is the best album due to its amazing era so in that case I'd rank C2C pretty high because of Cheek to Cheek Live. Dumb logic.

Donatella is the biggest filler on the album for me. It's an atrocious song.  :rip:

I think Fashion! is easily the worst song on the album, even if the vocals on the bridge are great. "Slay" should never be used in a song. Mess.

Dance in the Dark, Teeth, So Happy I Could Die, Donatella, MANiCURE, Swine, G.U.Y., Jewels N' Drugs and as much as I hate it Fashion! are not fillers. Just because you don't like a song does not make it a filler. Donatella was one of the first titles we got from ARTPOP (back in 2012, I think, can someone back this up?), Jewels N' Drugs is not a filler, it was at one point Gaga's favourite ARTPOP song. The first songs she wanted us to hear live in different forms slightly were Aura, MANiCURE, ARTPOP, Jewels N' Drugs, Sexxx Dreams, Swine, Dope & Applause, this makes all of these tracks not fillers. I know she didn't perform Dope but I Wanna Be With You progressed into Dope so I'm gonna count it. Also, how does Speechless not fit into The Fame Monster? The fear of losing your Dad due to his heart condition doesn't fit into an album where each track has a theme of a different fear? I think it works perfectly.

Sorry but I respectfully disagree. My love for TFM has nothing to do with success or critical acclaim. That record slayed my existence- I couldn't even fathom it. A lot of it having to do with me not expecting Gaga to make that kind of music. It was honestly perfect for me. And it is deep, just not so obvious. It's a fantastic record and is probably the reason why I'm such a die-hard stan.

For me, the production of BTW and AP were too distracting (although I get its purpose). To me, out of all her albums, TFM is just best quality wise, overall. But to each his/her own

Other than Telephone having been written for Britney the rest of the album I find is deep possibly not as relative as ARTPOP but like she has mentioned she had written about HER experience with fame and the backlash it can have. She did show some of her most darkest imagery from that era.

other than TF/TFM you can't really compare the other albums as each was a time period in her life. It then is up to the fans to express how much they like certain pieces of her works based on how they relate to it. But everyone's opinion is valid for how it reflex's with them.
