Economy 52,844
I am huge on politics. You don't know me and you don't know what I know. I'm on my third year of AP honors government in school and government is a subject I'm big on. We are two different people so I will play politics the way I want too. Okay yes, same s-x marriage. That is the only thing I'm with Obama on, I don't agree with everything Romney wanted, but he still would've been a better president than Obama. Obama hasn't done jack **** for this country, I did my persuasive speech senior project on why Obama should be impeached. He is a joke in all honesty and makes a mockery out of our country. the majority of people who understand economics well and politics and studied it (id say 70% or more) prefer republicans and right winged Governments. Its just that all average people can understand is that Obama taxes the rich and cares for the environment and supports LGBT and they only understand those issues superficially Especially when it comes to the economy, i dont think many people understand fully just how much a socialist approach tends to backfire and create the opposite effect its intended to create If u discourage business investment and unemployment rises, wages stagnate A LOT because theres no competition. Theres also less productivity. And no amount of taxes on the rich will make up for that. The middle class ends up worse off most of the time Really, only small Countries with many natural resources (Like Norway) have successfuly pulled off Socialism Ppl dont really understand that Capitalism is suppostu generate wealth for everyone, people have a tendency to associate it with benefits for the rich only. Of course anything to the extreme is no good which includes capitalism. But were no where near the extreme
Gaga Monster 13,001
I'm sure he would do a hell of a better job than Obama. He should've won the election last time, not Obama getting a second term. Completely agreeWas he that much of a bad runner? :/ He really wasn't GGD Presidential Elections

Obama taxes the rich, takes away from the hard working middle class, and then gives gives and gives to the lazy people on welfare that need to get up and get jobs. Economy 52,844
Yeah I do agree with you. Obama taxes the rich, takes away from the hard working middle class, and then gives gives and gives to the lazy people on welfare that need to get up and get jobs.well not everyone is lazy. Some ppl have bad circumstances. Thats why i said nothing to the extreme is good that includes capitalism But by encouraging business investment, you create more jobs and have a more productive economy and create more competition for labor creating upward pressure on wages Socialism results in HAVING to raise taxes to spend on programs to help people because the reality is people end up becoming poorer for the most part When the economy is weaker, the ppl who get affected the most is the working class cuz thats when companies have more ability to exploit workers wheather ur socialist or not. Socialism is rising in the US yet income inequality is getting worse. If high Corporate taxes and social programs was suppostu help why isnt it? Ppl cant see its not working Corporate taxes, business taxes and investment taxes are all lower here in Canada than in the US now and guess what... We have more employment (65% of our population is working vs 62.5% in the US) and income ineuality isnt as bad as in the US Official unemployment rate in the US is lower than Canadas but when you factor in the differences in methology of how the two countries measure unemployment (Canadas way gives higher number) and when you factor in the labor-force participation rate, Canada actually has more employment. You're definitely a well educated person and know your facts :) its annoying cuz most ppl criticise my thinking with things they dont understand They legitly think that me supporting right-winged governments means i only support the rich Also, the entire political system doesnt revolve around LGBT issues but thats all LGBT pays attention to Im part of the LGBT myself and i personally would still go Republican cuz to me the economy will make a bigger difference in my life than technical symbolic rights like allowed to get married Now for some ppl they dont think that way and thats fine. But my point is social issues dont revolve soley around LGBT issues :MANiCURE:
FATCAT 60,888
Yeah I do agree with you. Obama taxes the rich, takes away from the hard working middle class, and then gives gives and gives to the lazy people on welfare that need to get up and get jobs. You obviously must be a well-off kid to have such an ignorant view of welfare. I'm not saying that there aren't people who abuse the system, but the majority of people on food-stamps are barely getting by. "Get up and get jobs" it isn't that easy. There are people in this country with Bachelors Degrees in their fields who can't find a job. Hell, half of the people with degree's can't find a low-wage job because they're over-qualified and the managers won't hire them. If you have more money, you should pay the exact same percentage that every other middle class-men plays. That way, less money has to be taken from the hard working middle class. Disregard 50
This asshole has made it clear that he feels the presidency is something that he is actually entitled to. It kills him that it's basically the only thing that he has failed to achieve. He wasn't even a successful governor, and you braindead teenagers think he would do a better job just because you're unhappy with the current president? Your homework is overdue. The majority of the people abuse the system though. I dislike welfare, to many people are on it for the wrong reasons. I understand the people who have college degrees and can't get work, the people who get laid off, or are disabled and can't work, but there is so much lazy trash in this country that rather sit on their ass and get government checks paid by the hard workers than get a job. The amount of money given out in food stamps yearly is absurd and the amount of money in welfare. Obama's phone program cost the government over 2 BILLION DOLLARS. That's two billion dollars to give poor people cell phones, since when were cell phones a necessity? It's pathetic. The statistics speak for themselves http://www.statisticbrain.com/welfare-statistics/ and the fact that welfare has drastically increased with Obamas presidency proves that it's because Obama care allows people to abuse the system its annoying cuz most ppl criticise my thinking with things they dont understand They legitly think that me supporting right-winged governments means i only support the rich Also, the entire political system doesnt revolve around LGBT issues but thats all LGBT pays attention to Im part of the LGBT myself and i personally would still go Republican cuz to me the economy will make a bigger difference in my life than technical symbolic rights like allowed to get married Now for some ppl they dont think that way and thats fine. The choosing of a president shouldn't be solely based off if he supports LGBT or not, it should be based off who's going to run our country in a better more productive manor. Navy 495
Do you even know what you're talking about? That program originated from the George W. Bush era. The program actually originated in 1984 and it didn't cost as nearly what it did then as it does now in tax payers money. It's original purpose was to give low income people a HOME PHONE to contact family members. Here is the abuse that it's received since Obama has been in office http://poorrichardsnews.com/post/42932212360/obamaphones-cost-taxpayers-2-2-billion-last-year

Yes, the original concept originated in 1984 when Ronald Reagan, a republican, was in office. But it was buried, and not yet a significant line item in the budget. It did however balloon to its current expenditure when George W. Bush, yet another republican, expanded its reach. Either way, Obama had nothing to do with it, so try something else.
