blacklistedd 599
nope. i dont get these fans saying 'free her from dr luke' in terms of production, i think kesha was doing great. we loved her albums and songs because dr luke produced it. now that he's gone, we can say bye to kesha too. ONE of the reasons i heard is that kesha wants to make songs out of her genre... well she could do that by her own. dont get me wrong, im a fan. but kesha shifting her genre is a big no for me. sure dr. luke made songs with her that i like, however, hes made a lot of music with her thats dull as **** I mean listen to Warrior. That album is a lazy pop mess filled with luke leftovers and half hearted execution. so how small minded is it to imply that she cant make good music or pop music without him? i think if warrior is anything to go by she'll make better music without him. pop stars work with other producers all the time and that unreleased clip we heard of you control my heart, which she made with wayne coyne, sounded dope as hell. so idk. dr. lukes music is a bore even though hes made some songs that sound good in the past. blacklistedd 599
It got a great metacritic score and was loved by fans, unlike lack of art in pop It got a great metacritic score because it was only reviewed by 17 critics. If at least 15 more critics had cared to review it that score would've decreased significantly, but they didnt. And its hardly a beloved album by fans. I mean you're entitled to your opinion but to me its inarguably her worst release and its overall not that great of an album. Like I said in my other post, its filled with 2012 pop leftovers and half-hearted execution on both the producers and keshas parts. As we know, there wasnt a whole lotta love going on behind the scenes during conception of the album so I guess using that as an excuse one could see why the album sounds so lacking. warrior had some bops, well, at least for me... but my point was, fans were looking for a more edgier genre? idk. i've only heard about this from different responses. i think she'll make good music, but not hits. and no hits means irrelevancy... for the general public. fans will continue to adore her no matter what. What pop stans forget is that critical acclaim is more important than katy perry-esque success. if you have the critics on your side than theres a success that follows that. I mean look at Azealia Banks, a general pop stan would say shes irrelevant because shes not on the radio. But she made one of the best albums of 2014 and her name is on top year end lists all over. thats better success than being like katy perry and having some dull luke produced track on the radio all day because katy is a bore. kesha isnt. and as for her "crossing genres" she will never be anything other than a pop star and she really doesnt intend to be. she may incorporate other styles into her music like anyone does, but at the end of the day she will make a pop album. idk why the fans got it into their heads that she like wants to ditch pop just because she doesn't want to make an album consisting solely of dance pop luke production. look at ****in lana del rey, shes pop with alt packaging. look at lorde. i mean thats pop music guys, kesha will still make pop music. it just may not sound like kiss n tell and all that matters which imo is a good thing. i mean die young sounded generic right? but it couldve easily sounded less generic if theyd tweaked the production. it still wouldve been a pop song just not so flo rida. Sebastien 16
I think it could actually have helped. Since people have been talking about Kesha (Something that was lacking during her last release), a good single could do well with the GP, and be seen as some kind of comeback. I still feel as if a majority supports her rather than Dr Luke? Or am I not keeping myself informed enough?
Versace 7,959
I wont be able to go on these 5 women I love as people regardless of their music or talent or movies and I've gotten to understand them and appreciate them Gaga, Kesha , Xtina, Brit and Angelina
