You guys should watch the very beginning then

I watched the entire thing. Do I think that someone having worked in the adult industry should define them? No. But if someone builds a fortune from being a **** star or an escort that is not commendable and that is not role model ****. The fact that you think otherwise is a testament to how deluded, self absorbed, and vapid our generation is.

unless ofc they did something else great in their life or overcame some great adversity.. but it wouldn't be because they do p0rn. that would be stupid

Philanthropists are inspiring and role models. Scientists are inspirational. Health care workers who save lives are inspirational. Firefighters and a lot of police are role models. Teachers can be role models.

**** stars work to please our primal pleasures but I would not call them inspiring or role model worthy just because they make money.

Thats arguable, I know one or two people personally who turned to **** and escort work simply because they were lazy and rested on their looks/body to make easy money. Thats not everyones story however and especially not trans women but theres a difference between acknowledging and respecting someones struggle and respecting them overcoming their struggle and acknowledging that being an escort and doing **** still isnt commendable, regardless.

And as for my last post, our generation tends to mistake toxically coddling self indulgence for strength and empowerment because they want to rationalize b/s behavior.

Listen, there are few exceptions to prostitution but that's besides the point.. It's not a career people inspire to be in or nor do people want to be like them, it's fair to say that the people who do sell their bodies don't want to be in that position and only fall in that place cause of some trauma that has occurred in their life.. No one strives to be like them.

TSMadison isn't inspiring because she's a **** star.

right. but you need to acknowledge that difference. its important to acknowledge that difference. you crafted your point of view in a way that puts forth that **** and prostitution is a respectable means of surviving.

Your job can completely decide your character? New information to me

People mistake role models for people that mommy and daddy want little Jonny and little Suzy to be when they grow up, AKA valedictorian athletes with a law and medicine degree that make six figure salaries.

Take transgender advocates for example. Those are impressive role models to some but others would think they are the worst role models on this planet. Role model is subjective to who it applies to. A porn star could be inspirational to someone who finds s-xual power gratifying to one's ego and self esteem.

Defining a role model is silly. Would you want the cookie cutter psuedo-religious soccer mom mold of the United States suburbia complexes to decide what should be conventionally considered a role model in this society? Nah, I wouldn't either.

The problem there being that anyone should find a gratifying amount of ego and self esteem predominantly in s-xual power. I think its incredibly "problematic" that this sort of self indulgent do whatever feels right to you and **** everyone else mentality is being marketed as healthy these days when its the opposite, its completely coddling.

And just because someone rightfully acknowledges that **** stars arent role models in no way automatically means that role models are supposed to be stereotypical either.

A role model isn't typically intended to apply to the entire compendium of a single individual's character traits and ambitions. I could find a s-x video star inspiring for her dominatrix attitude and aspire to be that, and Aunt Jemima could be my role model for pushing boundaries in breakfast condiments if I happened to own a chain of i-Hops.

Role models can be divided by hobbies, talents, desires, personal characteristics, etc. I don't think Dita Von Teese and Colonel Sanders are going to provide similar points of inspiration.
