Guest
I love Kanye, but he ruined E.T.
giskardsb 12,565
The rap verse in ET is horrible, ruins the song. Most rap verses are just random inserts for no good reason.
Sugarfall 3,723
Kanye ruined E.T. the solo version is godly tho. Dark Horse is amazing as well, but Juicy J feels forced (not as bad as Kanye) and a solo version would've been so much better. So I hope Gaga won't have one, because rap verses rarely fit into pop songs imo.
Born To Slay 10,996
If only it was released in the same time as Dark Horse. I bet it would get over 1 Billion views by now. Bad Romance had impact. Cultural one. Visual one and musical one. That impact is dead now. I see people here acting like it's one of the biggest, most influential smashes of all time when in reality it's no longer on anyones radar. The video isn't getting as many views as songs released 15 years ago, like BOMT for example. The song doesn't chart on ITunes.

Emvee 8,424
The whole rap verse thing in pop music needs to die already ****. That being said, ET and DH as songs are pretty good. The only Katy songs that i actually like and it doesnt surprise me that they were both huge hits. Kudos to the writers and producers of those songs. Ill never understand why a song like Roar was a big hit though. Disney teas were strong.

The video isn't getting as many views as songs released 15 years ago, like BOMT for example. The song doesn't chart on ITunes. Because in the Digital age it is. It's apart of the top selling digital singles of all time. Ahead of both, as a matter of fact ANY Katy track. The video was iconic (Best Short Form Music Video Grammy ) It shifted Gaga's career from this girl that had a few hits to someone who actually had some type of depth to her music. It made people actually pay attention to her, in my opinion. As far as impact, it set a Nielsen Record! Most weekly plays of any song within it's 17-year history! It showed the world the beginning stages of Shock art Gaga. It's critically acclaimed to be one of Gaga's best songs from multiple critics. It received 7 out of 10 MTV VMA awards (this one song has more than the total of Katy wins for VMA's). Lastly it won the Grammy for Best Pop Female Performance. When did Kat. . . .Never mind. I'm extremely biased because BR is my favorite single and song from Gaga but even if it weren't no one (should) deny the legend that is Bad Romance. On topic: Hopefully Gaga never does another track with any rapper(s) UNLESS it's Jay-Z I don't listen/like Hip-Hop but I'm from Brooklyn. Two NY artist, especially one being Gaga, doing a track would be awesome. Even though it already happened with Empire State of Mind but still. . . . Nein 508
Guys please keep it cute in here. I'm asking if Gaga will have a great song/single in the future that features a rapper, not who is more successful or more iconic or whatever.
