xoxo cupcakke 4,781
It's subliminal racism created by years of the Westernization of the idealistic leading man. Really, if it was someone like Brad Pitt or, IDK, who do the kids like these days, Zac Efron, then the movie would definitely gross more because people are more attracted to Caucasians or people with Caucasian aspects and features about them. He's telling the truth But really, it seems all GagaDaily has turned into is a forum based around racism and whether or not it is overexaggerated or if it even exists #RacismDaily
MahoganySnitch 67
The thing is, there are almost no black people living in huge markets like Russia or some other European countries which makes it understandable why people there are less likely to relate to a black lead actor. Is it still racism? If this held true, then movies starring white leads (Pitt, Depp, etc.) should not be doing at all well in countries with non-white majorities, because they can't relate either. craig 680
but they should of kept it to themselves. Not everything has to be publicly confessed It was released because of the North Korean hacking of Sony.

Aside from Asia, most of the important movie markets are shades of white (Hispanics are only non-white in bizarre US classification system).

But we're still human. We both poop brown, we both bleed red. I don't understand how one colour couldn't relate to another. I, personally, can relate to anyone - hell they could even be purple and I could understand. Why wouldn't people in Russia, for example, not enjoy a movie because the protagonist is black? It just sounds insane to me. Oh well.

Why put Asia's movie market aside? Do films starring Pitt/Depp/anyone else you can think of do so poorly there or not?
RainingOnMe 7,252
I hope you wake up Black. Misunderstood me. I meant that most things ONLINE, like Azealia, is pulling the race card on Iggy when it's not. Iggy likes black people, yeah, okay. Nothing wrong with that. Yes she's a rapper. Rap is black culture, understood. But who's place is it to tell her that she's racist when she's influenced by black culture? "She raps American!" Okay? Do they want her to rap "Australian" ? Also, please don't try to say I'm racist, because I'm not. I'm complaining about online race carding. Also, I hope I do too.

India has it's own Bollywood movie system, and I suspect East Asian are less comfortable with blacks than whites. They can be quite xenophobic (immigration in Japan), but blacks are especially foreign.
