As for her complaint with Iggy, I don't have enough interest in her to possibly comment on the situation. If Nicki feels that its a racial issue, then thats her prerogative. I can imagine that it must be quite frustrating for Nicki to have been releasing the same type of music as Iggy (neither of whom are particularly rap artists over pop ones) for a longer period of time, but not receiving the same attention/reception for it. Nicki gets the 'aaah a crazy lady' stuff whereas Iggy gets 'yaaas slay us queen of rap'. I think it's understandable that Nicki may feel this is due to race: a white woman is generally received by Western societies better than a black woman is. It's a horrid truth but a truth nonetheless. Or perhaps because she's the first white female rapper to make such an impact in the industry. Rap is a very black-dominated genre from most standpoints, and so perhaps that is why there has been such a big fuss over her. Not to mention that Nicki Minaj used some very "aaah crazy lady" tactics during the Roman Reloaded days to get her attention. Iggy has only really pulled the JLo Booty stunt that seems out of the blue. Everything else has just been her doing her own thing. I mean, why do you think that both Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga pulled away from the "crazy" outfits and persona? Because after a while, people get bored and ignore the crazy lady in a burqa humping a priest and move on to something with a bit more substance. That's why Nicki's craze died down for a hot minute and the spotlight moved to Iggy for the spring and summer; she only has herself to blame for that. Even Anaconda, as crazy as it is, was a more natural era than most things she had done prior to Pills n Potions. I respect both artists, but I feel like Nicki is just coming after Iggy because she took the spotlight and she will do anything to drag the poor girl down, whether she references her writing skills, time in the industry, or skin color. delete it fat Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you are ridiculing a black artists statement on underrepresentation and racism and call her pressed for not having one of those worthless trophies awarded by the Association of Mayonnaise and Saltine Americans YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
