You can see him scanning the crowd. He probably looked at you a couple of times. Imagine that. :rip:

Well when it starts he is actually looking right at where we stood... :toofunny:

some interesting trivia

this is Kantele

old Finnish musical instrument

Ville sings about it in "Lucifer".

Linde played kantele on the Salt In Our Wounds track.

Do you hear it? :green:

Ahh a music lesson, I love it. Yes, I do hear it and it is so pretty and intricate. Very interesting.

I did not know about that. Salt In Our Wounds always reminds me of the Rolling Stones. I think because of the bongo drum sounds and the intro. I always hear that the most and focus on it. It makes me think of Brian Jones from The Stones and his last work before he died. The song instantly reminded me of The Stones and Ville singing the Lucifer song reminds me of them as well.

Thank You for that post, I always want to learn new things having to do with music. Salt In Our Wounds in one of my favorites and so is Ville singing Lucifer.

Is anyone else annoyed by people calling HIM music emo? :wtf:  Is it because of make-up? Alice Cooper wears makeup, he's not emo. Is it because it's "sad"? It's not like Ville's singing about cutting wrists in every song. I find them very different from those American emo bands from 2000s and that melancholy is really typical in Finnish music... in recent Canadian interview Ville said they're under alternative rock umbrella.

What do you all think?

Me neither. But it's little bit annoying. It's like they followed that emo trend 15 years ago and it's just not true, they did their own thing and some even tried to copy them.

Yeah they invented 'love metal' genre, but Ville said they're not really metal and it's true. And they changed their sound since their demos Borellus, The Phantom Gate etc...for me they are a rock band, with unique sound and lyrics which are often seen as too 'feminine' in the rock world.

Yeah, I would not call them emo either. America puts every new rock band with sad lyrics in the "emo" category. It does get HIM a little extra attention here though, by people who might never even give their music a listen. Emo is still very popular here amongst the young teens.

Is it still?

I feel like some of these pop stans on ggd think we are some emo posers trying to act all "edgy". lol

lol Oh well, we sure aren't. lol I do not like ANY of those emo bands. The funniest one is Blood On The Dance Floor. Look at this horrid video. I cry from laughing at it, the kids introduced me to it. It is maybe the worst song I have ever heard.

Yes, the younger teens at least are all into these emo bands. I joke about it with my niece and nephew all of the time, that is what they are mostly into at the moment. The coolest thing is wearing all of the t shirts and if it's "vintage" emo, the better.

They like HIM now, how could they not, they have to hear it constantly with me.
