Madonna was a queen because she pushed boundaries and Madonna was connected with this greater than life star who said something and made a difference. She pushed boundaries. If she didn't, she'd just be a pop girl with great sales but not a Queen like Taylor Swift. But now Madonna has lost that factor (understandably seeing as her career has always pushed boundaries and now she's probably inspirationless). Gaga, The Goddess of Pop, on the other hand, is still pushing boundaries, making amazing pop, hip hop, jazz and rock music which makes important statements and she has that "I am a Queen" factor which makes her different from any other modern artist. Robotboy 1,700 Posted December 9, 2014 Share Posted December 9, 2014 i think everyone knows the only worthy queens are madonna and gaga, and thats why her fanbase hates gaga and monsters so much. when they realized gaga was just a litte bigger and better than madge at everything. so yea, calling her the queen of pop makes sense, but calling other pop stars that is just in a funny way. That's what a lot of respected artists say too so she's the only one who deserves this title since Madonna, in addition to how she dominated the media coverage during her prime time.
