Fee should keep raising interest rates. That certainly puts pressure on stocks as fixed income becomes more attractive with greater returns

We all saw it coming tho :laughga:

Considering that the recent drop, it's not really a correction but a reaction to news that the Fed may have to increase the lending rate more than planned..

5k drop over a few weeks would be a realistic"correction" even... It's still a bull market....

All I know is I want buying opportunities but I'm in the process of converting my investment account to the tax free one and it takes up to 5 business days so no trading for me this week :neyde:

I swear if it rebounds when I get my account back :koons:

Mexico has had a terrible week regarding gasoline. Note: we import most of our gasoline because we don't have the infrastructure, the gasoline is thus distributed through ducts across the county. At the beginning of the week, government claimed that they were closing some ducts to avoid the "constant robbery of gasoline" which everyone thought was a good idea against that crime. That decision brought shortages mostly to central Mexico. However, by the end of the week it was confirmed by the WSJ that the imports were reduced almost by a third which means there is a REAL SHORTAGE OF GASOLINE compated to the average consumption :rip: This new president and government are not doing things right as they claim to be doing, it's a mess.

Lack of infrastructure with fossil fuels is a big issue here in Canada too

Were the 3rd biggest oil reserves holders and 4th biggest producers in the world but we have to import most of our oil while we sell most of what we produce to the US at a discount cuz that's where our infrastructure lets us do

I had no idea Canada did the same as Mexico. I just searched and we are not the big on reserves/imports.

Our reserves are the 3rd highest in the world but yeah we sell our oil at a discount because environmental protesters successfully have blocked every pipeline and we are forced to sell to only one region in the US so we have to take what we are offered

@Woolfsmck power outage in Venezuela has cut their oil production in half... If it doesn't get back up and running soon prices could surge!
