An apparent tweet a year ago VS an actual interview 8 months ago, I know what I believe

But regardless it has nothing to do with Cheryl. She has no pull on the show, all the shots are called by Simon, we know that. Cheryl's just there to look pretty and bring in the viewers.

Cheryl does a great job on the show actually. Let's not forget that the first two years she was on the show, her acts won. I know for a fact what happened on Twitter and it got ugly.

Honestly I really don't care how great she is or how many of her acts won, where are they now? The show is literally just a platform for SyCo and I genuinely feel bad for most of the acts that go in. They're sold this huge dream and put in so much work, and then the majority of them fall back into irrelevance - even the winners. How many bona fide stars has this show actually produced? They just give up on the people that don't make money. They'll have one or two hits and then disappear, and the train keeps on going... Lily is spot on here imo.

i agree, theres a reason so few contestants on these singing competition shows actually make it, because theyre being manufactured into whats seen as a viable star, but really u cant formulate it. kelly clarkson might be the only exception, because she was one of the first winners of these shows, and held her own musically before the digital age, but this whole idea of getting hopeful, singers who dont write their own music nor bring anything creative to the pop landscape only to have 15 minutes on one season of a bi annual show.
